Hi, i am french and i want you, beloved community of Dakka Dakka, to help me about my project implying zombies and plagues marines.

My goal is to field at least 2 units of plagues marines, Necrosius, a bunch of zombies, and my converted obliterators ( 4) in an army that is fluff and effective. I have Chaos nurgle spawns too but not sure how they fill in the army...

I own also Typhus, Fw Terminators and Land raider, a Daemon Prince but i am not sure they will fill in this list ( overpriced, typhus is replaced by necrosius, etc...)

I know that i will surely beginning by taking ''The Purge'' from Vraks 7th edition Forgeworld book. My intent is maybe to ally with Renegades and Heretic to bring some fire power.

But how organize all of this? Take CSM as allies? as the purge? or Take renegades as allies? My favorite Idea was take Renegades and heretics as CAD ( for zombies obj secured) and Purge Chaos marines as second detachment? Have some of you allready chimed about a Necrosis zombies list with Plagues marines?

For additional units in CSM i consider, i like the Plague Hulk!

Thanks in advance for your chaotic help!

I would consider running necrosis in a CAD you gain objective secured on your zombies which to me is where they really shine.

Yes, so i cant let him in purge but i can if the zombies comes from a CAD Primary Detachment, master of renegades of nurgle, he stll gives his army wide furious charge and 2 plagues marines units with 4 heavy support that can be nice

So, I'm assuming you are taking Necrosius specifically for the zombies, but he doesn't unlock PM as troops, and I have seen Typhus run really well with a bodygaurd of MoN Oblits. For what you have and want, I'd recommend running CSM as allies and focusing on your Renegades simply because I feel the codex allows your to be more competitve.

Allied Chaos
Tychus and 3 MoN Oblits
max squad zombies
5 PM in a rhino with 2 meltas or plasmas
With Plasma its just under 750 pts.

Renegades
Since your going Nurgle, take Bloody Handed Reaver for priced up guys with BS 3-4 and special weapons in Valks with Carapace Armor and krak grenades. You can go chimera mech with Russes. Blight Drones, Valks and a Heldrake can make for a surprising Nurgle airforce.

Or go Mutant Overlord and spam Spawn, mutants, and greater spined beast to go with your Mutant rabble hordes and zombie mob. Reeeeally hard to mow down that many wounds. Throw in rapier batteries, Medusa's, Earthshakers or Leman Russes for high str long range bang.

Big issues are that Necrosius is a sorceror not a lord, so no PM troops, and if you take the Renegades as allies you lose a bunch of benefits. By taking CSM allies, you are limited to 1 squad of PM and 1 of zombies, but you still get Spawn if you want them and that unlocks blight drones, better Lords of War and Covenant benefits for your entire Renegades list, which they kinda need to be effective.

Example:
Command Squad-command vox, Autocannon
Enforcers-4 of em with Melta bombs
2 Platoon CS- Command Vox, Sigil, Autocannon, Militia Training
4 Infantry Platoons-15 bodies, 3 Meltas or Plasmas. Enforcer.

Sits around 1000 I think. That leaves you with around 250 for artillery, or 9 Laser Rapiers with 40 pts left over. You might drop a platoon for a large mutant squad and add more arty/tanks/valks whatever. As it sits it puts down up 12 Melta?Plas and 3 Autocannon shots a turn just from the infantry, and with the rerolls and vox range your average leadership will be 9 or better. If you go full rapiers, you also get 9 twin linked str9 ap2 shots before your obliterators take a shot.
