I was wondering if anyone has an example of a non-space marine based inquisitor conversion. Especially Terminators. I dislike converting from a space marine base as it doesn't look distinct enough, but few models, even in fantasy, seems to have enough armor to justify Power Armor, much less Terminator armor.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.

Sisters of Battle use power armour, so I suppose one could use them as a base model for a female inquisitor (Or cut out and Green Stuff over their breast armour for a male one? I don't know).

Also maybe try to look for some 2nd edition Power Armour models, they area tad smaller and look different to modern Space Marines.

3000pts Blood Angels (4th Company) - 2000pts Skitarii (Voss Prime) - 2500pts Imperial Knights (Unnamed House) - 1000pts Imperial Guard (Household Retainers)

2000pts Free Peoples (Edlynd Fusiliers) - 2000pts Kharadron Overlords (Barak Zilfin) - 500pts Ironweld Arsenal (Edlynd Ironwork Federation) - 1000pts Duardin (Grongrok Powderheads)

Wargaming's no fun when you have a plan!

Might want to take a look at the Rogue Trader era Inquisitors.
There were quite a few of them:

Also check out Puppetswar, they have quite a few SM bitz but also all sorts of other bits that might be what you're looking for? http://puppetswar.eu/

...good chance you've heard of these both though haha

Good luck to you!

Lots of options out there, even if you keep just to GW.

The RT Inquisitors are great, and usually $10-$15 on ebay.

Necromunda Spryers might work as power armor Inquisitors too.

The Sigmarines can serve as a heavily armored/bionic Inquisitor.

Robed figures can serve as power armor (under the robes obviously) after adding some marine hands or arms.

Automatically Appended Next Post:
If you're going outside GW, hard to beat the Dream Forge Valkyr for power armor or termi armor.

You might actually be the first person in the history of this forum to suggest cutting off and greenstuffing over a model's breasts.

On topic, the sigmarines make excellent inquisitors in power armour, and I've had some luck putting a terminator-back on one of the stormcast models. Admittedly, I was making a primarch - those things end up looking huge.

Why must I always choose beween certain death and probable death.

One assumes that he was planning to GS even bigger ones on though?
