Hello all,
Just a quick intro,
Have been on Warseer since last September but it's down again so thought I'd try somewhere new!!
I'm a father of 4 in my late thirties and have been into modelling in all its forms since I was about 6. Planes, trains and tanks until at about 8 my dad bought me some pre slotted figures and the rest is history. Used to play 40k with my friends in my early teens and I have always been a space marine man, ultramarines in particular. Stopped gaming when I went to college but have continued to convert, paint and scratch build in my spare time as it's the best stress buster I've found.
Will be posting my conversion projects on here when I find the right forum area and anyone who is also on Warseer will know my baneblade conversion project "craneblade". Always interested in other people's ideas suggestions and observations on my work as they sometimes spot little mistakes I completely miss( put a hatch on back to front a couple of months ago)
What I'm most interested in at the moment is airbrush painting techniques as I suck at it, and I don't want to ruin my projects with poor painting.

See you around

Looking forward to seeing your stuff!

I airbrush some. There are lots of great learn to airbrush youtube videos. For miniatures all you need are the basics.

Hi,

Welcome to Dakka

IceAngel wrote:I must say Knightley, I am very envious of your squiggle ability. I mean, if squiggles were a tactical squad, you'd be the sergeant. If squiggles were an HQ, you'd be the special character. If squiggles were a way of life, you'd be Doctor Phil...

Welcome to Dakka, yeah I'm weak in painting, but love kit bashing, and scratch building new terrain and characters.

-Me: Don't tell the commissar but i left my Imperial Infantrymans Uplifting Primer at home, but I do carry a folded Texas flag behind my front plate.
-Friend: Texas flag gives you AV14 all around.

Jury-Rig - makeshift repairs or temporary contrivances, made with only the tools and materials that happen to be on hand, the Machine Spirit is not pleased......

Hi. Welcome to Dakka

TheEyeOfNight- I swear, this thread is 70% smack talk, 20% RP organization, and 10% butt jokes
TheEyeOfNight- "Ordo Xenos reports that the Necrons have attained democracy, kamikaze tendencies, and nuclear fission. It's all tits up, sir."
Space Marine flyers are shaped for the greatest possible air resistance so that the air may never defeat the SPACE MARINES!
Sternguard though, those guys are all about kicking ass. They'd chew bubble gum as well, but bubble gum is heretical. Only tau chew gum
