Can you take an imperial bunker (or any building/etc) with no slot listed on your detachment?

Basically if you take a CAD I know you can take an A line, but what about with a gladius? Can it take a building or does it need a slot listed?

You can put whatever Terrain on the board that you choose. So if you do not purchase it for your army, it can still be on the board, but you risk it being immediately accessible by your opponent.

You can purchase any Fortification in your army that you want, however if it is not listed in a Formation or any detachments you bring do not have a Fortification Slot, you will be Unbound.

Are you a Wolf, a Sheep, or a Hound?

For a unit to be taken in the game as a part of your army list, you'll need to have an appropriate slot OR have a formation listing the desired unit OR play Unbound.

The Space Marines Gladius thing doesn't have room for a Fortification. To take one, you'll need to take a CAD or go unbound for most Fortifications.

As the poster above mentioned, it's possible to include Fortification as "neutral" terrain pieces that can be claimed by either side. This works in a casual game, but rarely is an option in organized play events where terrain is usually fixed.
