Any ideas why this might be happening on my resin models? I washed them before spraying. Would spraying them in the cold have caused this? Would putting too thick a layer on? I think I did both...
|

Did you wash them off with a degreaseer?
did you rinse and let them dry completely?
did you let your spray primer cure?

I never had problems priming in the cold. Army painter primer is seems weird though, It seems like it sprays out A LOT of paint.

Yup lotsa shaking ...
Is it better to have a thin coat were out have missed some areas or a thicker one.wbich covers all the model?

Apply multiple thin coats not one thick coat. If you miss some areas no big deal, either use black/white to cover it, or use paint on primer to fix it.

If your used to GW sprays there is a bit of a learning curve with army painter - it is much much thicker and requires much lighter sprays. I also find it tends to leave a bumpy surface if you spray too far away from the model.

Never sprayed before but leaning more and more to the too thick hypothesis

Do you have a picture? Spraying paint too thick shouldn't make it flake off, it'll give a poor finish and obscure detail, it shouldn't be flaking off though.
