The Crusader is the best over selection, while the Gallant is the cheapest. Of the other three, the Warden is the most flexible, the Paladin has better support range, while the Errant brings AP1 without sacrificing D melee.

I bring the Warden with melta (edges out stubber slightly for stub'n'charge and hey it's free), skyfire missiles (as I don't run Icarus Array).
Warden because it benefits from the Canticle that grants TL or to hit rerolls the most and I don't like the shooty knight.

The fist "upgrade" Might seem tempting for free but trust me the first time you see a knight in the enemy list, and you realize you auto lose in melee to it... So in response you rage flip an enemy Leman Russ into their army...but then a guardsman makes his armor save against it because a Stomp instantly removes Lords of War from the table but a thrown Leman Russ is AP -...
You will resolve never to take that trainwreck of rules writing ever again. Even if they PAID you points back to take it.

Sorry, I meant the Skyfire Autocannons. S7 AP4 twin linked basic skyfire stuff.
I thought for some reason all the top mounted weapons were missiles.
