Disbeliever of the Greater Good

I've always found myself wondering about the lesser known vehicles of the Imperium. We always play as or against that one crack battalion who is armed to the teeth with Baneblades and all manner of super-rare weaponry, but what about the rest of the boys? The poor sots equipped with the leftovers, the low quality, " refurbished" equipment by forgeworlds who only care about meeting a quota?
With that challenge in mind, I created these guys, for use as props/terrain in a game.
While I'm touching them up with greenstuff prior to painting, what type of vehicle should I work on next? Please let me know in the comments below!

Very cool! I wish GW would do some sort of Low Intensity supplement, feral orks, PDF, Hive Gangs, etc.
Are your vehicles plastic card? Quite cool designs.
What is the bent pipe on the tankette?

I fixed the image! This is plasticard (also known as sheet styrene) I bought a while back from my local hobby store. The bent pipe is eventually going to be a crane, as the vehicle it's mounted on is the tractor for an as yet unbuilt munitions cart. I always wondered what an Imperial shrine would look like, so I challenged myself to make one. The key part I focused on what the general dirt and clutter; humans in the 40k universe and not a tidy, minimalist bunch. Hiveworlds are incredibly crowded, insular affairs, every surface having been personalized in one way or another by countless millions of individuals desperate to make a mark. So clutter and personality had to be in, along with a sense of grandiose purpose subverted by a hundred meaningless things. This took the form of hundreds of small personal items, taken from the dead by the survivors, and placed on the shrine in the failed hope there would be meaning in it all. Any ideas for what I should tackle next?

Lovely shrine! I especially like the missing tiles on the right bottom and the piles of offerings! Adding some leaves or trash along the bottom would make it perfect.
If you're taking requests I'm always happy to see cars, trucks, buses and other mundane means of transport.
So how about:
Staff car
Troop truck
Cargo truck

Holy Fr@ck man these are looking awesome! can't wait to see more coming up-I like the artillery especially. I think the scale of the two really gives that "lesser guard" feeling. Great stuff!

"...The politics have finally gotten out of the way. After years of waiting for approval, I have finally been granted the Arch-Mago's permission to move forwards on project #32CK899. The STC template file for this specimen has been severely corrupted, but I believe that enough remains that I can work out the design as it was intended to be. With diligence, and enough deduction, I may yet recover this "King Russ", which would, needless to say, greatly enhance my reputation and tradition among the peers mechanicus. End log."
ooh! Flavour text, that's fun.
Something I've been working on the last few days (yes, the sponson can rotate). I've never much cared for the original Leman Russ model. It's far too simplistic and brutish, there's not much more than simple shapes and easy geometry to it. While that's all well and fine for mass producing kits, it's annoyed me enough that none of my russes are vanilla, and most of them have a lot of mods to make them more interesting.
Anyways, while I try to grow my current brood of little Russ's, it's time to work on the one Russ that will rule them all. I'm thinking that the weaponry hard points will be the same as a regular Russ, but the class of weapons will be much greater. Plasma sponsons? Vanquisher turret? Who knows?
Oh, also, since I'm always making more work for myself...
Anyone have a crashed Aquila Lander that they want to see refit and returned to the emperor's service?

Some cool bits of terrain and vehicles you've made there
Scratch building is quite addictive.
Interesting take on the 'Russ, I look forward to seeing where this is going.

Progress! And now with a rescue Russ (rather suspiciously all the Aquilas have been filed off) and my munitions carrier for scale!
Flavour text provided by our self-serving junior-technica tech-priest, as always:
...the geometries of the hull are all off. It took me the past several days to work out the internal support structure, and after much frustration I have finally produced a structural by-pass that I am sure will work. I could not rely on the STC - corrupted as it was - and so have had to implement my own solutions to the hull's unique structural problems. Undoubtedly this will be cause for concern among the elder magos. I must walk carefully, else the ever volatile politics of the counsel may use my project as a front for their political games - and that would surely destroy both my credibility and any of the crucial prestige this project may earn me. That must not happen. End log

Bogged down by detail work. As tedius as the detail work is, it can't seem to take my mind off the impending dread I feel for hand cutting 150+ interlocking treads.
