Does anyone have an easy or easy-ish technique for making the spouts of flamers look charred? My basecoat is chrome.

Well a very watered down black wash around the tip of the barrel and then progress to a watered down blue or purple wash to show metal discoloration

Washes and stippling black for more crusty soot.

The new Sick Man of Europe

Get a black pencil and crush the lead into a powder. Then brush it onto the tip of the gun mixed with some water or thinner.

This works super well for tracks too.

Try dry brushing some warplock bronze around the vents to show the metal discoloring due to heat.
