Evening all. I'm on the hunt for pirate/ steampunk bits for 28mm heroic scale miniature, mainly pistols, flintlocks and old fashioned holsters for a conversion but had no real joy finding stuff. I've been through quite a few sites but only found a few pieces. I'm also after a piratey looking sword I can convert in attach to some cables to make a form of power sword.

Please help dakkaites and dakkaettes your my only hope!!!

Check out the Warhammer Fantasy/Age of Sigmar Dwarf and Empire stuff, all manner of steampunky guns and olde-style swords that could have the necessary cogs and pipes added. If you want cogs ans levers and such, search for watch parts on ebay (or ask your local jewellers if they have any going space, if you don't ask, you don't get!).

Good thinking dude. A friend of mine has tasked me to make him a pirate space marine. So I'm thinking steampunk bits would do the job nicely. Can you think of anything else that might work?

you might look at Puppetswar they've got a whole lot of random things for space marines and others that could fit what your'e looking for.

Pretty much the entire Mercenaries (and some of Cryx) range from Warmachine is what you're after, specifically the pirate stuff.

Shae's sword arm may be just up your alley.

Though look at arms from people like First Mate Hawk or Broadsides Bart too. Even Skarre's sword can be considered, depending on how you want to go.

Empire Pistollers/Outriders are loaded with clockwork punk/steam punk pistols, coats and other bits and bobs.

Handgunners a bit less so but still have some useful bitz.

There's an old ork chainsword that's curved, can be a chain cutlass.
