Hey all, I'm getting a fire raptor in the mail and have never assembled large forgeworld models before. What is the best epoxy to use for it? Also, should I invest in some clamps for holding it as it sets?

Any other tips are appreciated.

Welcome to hell.

Forgeworld have a guide on how to do it here http://www.forgeworld.co.uk/resources/PDF/Datasheets/Working_with_ResinFW.pdf

In addition to that, however, this is a guide done by someone working on the sibling ship, the storm eagle -> http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/507545.page

Long story short, these are some of the more challenging models that FW have, so you are in for a really complicated build. Superglue, araldite, clamps, hairdriers, belt sanders - you will need them all.

The fire raptor is a tough one, I have made many large models from FW before and that one was the worst. I personally use krazy glue maximum bond for super glue

Resin = super glue. Every time. Brand is up to you really, but it's worth spending the money on something half decent.

Some good strong rubber bands wouldn't go amiss to try and hold everything together while it's drying. Something I've seen a number of times on project logs.

Good luck, I've heard nothing but horror stories about the Fire Raptor (and Storm Eagle).
