Dark Eldar Rumors!
The next Dark Eldar codex is due out in the second half of 2016 with several changes.
Raiders are *free* for anything that can take dedicated transports.
Venoms are not free but can disembark passengers after moving 12″.
Wyches sound *good* and fluffy – and they’re getting new models. They all get shred and hydra gauntlets cause blindness. They also have the innate ability to choose to wound off their choice of attributes rather than toughness. So they can pick initiative and wound Necrons on a 3+. That’s what Wyches do to slow people. Their Hecatrix rerolls *everything* in a challenge.
Combat drugs are on a 2D6 chart and are optional.
Darklight weapons (dark lances, blasters, blast pistols) all gain the blind special rule.
During night fighting all enemy units are treated as affected by the blind special rule and there are powers to make it dark on various rounds.
Whenever a Dark Eldar unit with the Power From Pain rule attacks an enemy unit that’s blinded, those attacks gain rending and instant death.
Power from Pain is no longer a turn chart. Instead there are different types of pain the army focuses on, during a given turn and the army fights differently based on what’s chosen. No more details other than that.
The Court of the Archon gets a second copy of the warlord’s warlord power. Additionally enemies do not achieve the Slay the Warlord objective until they’ve killed both the warlord and the Court.
Succubi are like what Lilith Hesperax is right now. Not exactly sure what that means.
Hellions can hit-and-run on their initiative step rather than at the end of the combat round. Shoot, assault, make CC attacks, and then bounce out of combat before the enemy can make their attacks.
Wracks are 2W and any character automatically passes LOS rolls if they have a Wrack with them.

Unless they are from someone reputable like Sad Panda or Lady Atia. We first heard rumblings of Space Wolves way back in late November. But the issue with this rumor is that it has way too much specifics. Any time I see a rumor this early on that isn't just hint that something is coming, I immediately know it is false.

Yeah, they told us Space Wolves are coming, but didn't tell us anything about the rules themselves. That's the difference.

Wyches sound *good* and fluffy – and they’re getting new models.
*record scratch*
Didn't believe a word of it after this.
Given that the Incubi, Mandrakes, and Grotesques pretty much what's left that need plastic kits, I agree. Even if they were to redo the wytches, what would they be redone into?

As most said, pretty much a given that this is fake. Still, I like the idea of Dark Eldar gaining Rending and I.D. vs blinded enemies. Would give them a very distinctive (and fluffy) attribute.

Would finally have the blind rule used more often though.
Hopefully it does happen so the DE can get this new theme song.
The new wyches is pretty well weird, their kit isn't that old. It'd be more likely if they were being reboxed with different bases for example but even then I'm not sure they need it. It'd be a pretty unusual move for GW to replace it already.

For me it sounds reasonable.
Because they are too sexy for GW's new target of young US customers

Yeah, those rules sound much better than the current ones, who are very bland imo. Unfortunate that they are bullgak

Blind on Darklight weapons would be pretty fluffy, since they're supposedly able to scar your retinas or something if see a darklight weapon being fired.
I sooo would love this to be true as my poor Wych Cult army hasn't been used since 6th Edition.
The rules changes listed would make me consider using them, I like them and they are fluffy too.
Buuuut... no way are Wyches getting new models. Jes Goodwin had a really hard time getting the plastics approved last time around so no way will they redo an existing kit so soon, and there's absolutely nothing wrong with the current one.
So yeah, 99.9% sure this is just wishlisting, but some of those rules would actually make Wyches worth taking again....

I did wonder if it was the old lack of market research kicking in, and GW thinking that Wyches weren't selling because of the model quality rather than the rules quality though...

I only made it to "from natfka" in the title before I declined to believe it.
Wych models are great. Their rules are trash. Same with Hellions. Love those models.
Still, as long as wishlisting is going on, a Bloodbrides and/or Trueborn kit with some new weapon/wargear/armor options would be cool.
And a Superheavy Dais of Destruction with Vect as Lord of War options, and a plastic Grotesque multipart 2-3 pack are essentials for the next release.

Dark Eldar are one of the xeno armies that I wouldn't mind playing. I love their stock color scheme, and I love a lot of their models (Incubi, Kalabites, and Wyches especially). So hopefully they do get a boost up to 7.5e level, because I am getting tired of painting regular Power Armor bodies (almost done with my Crimson Fists!).

Raiders are *free* for anything that can take dedicated transports.
Via a special formation, right? Everything else is unlikely.
Venoms are not free but can disembark passengers after moving 12″.
Why is that special at this point? The capacity is pathetic and unloading puny witches at extra range isn't going to do any difference, only useful unit for this would be Wracks but what can they achieve that poison shooting Warriors can't?

Unlikely, especially since there's literally zero reason to resculpt something that has a high modelling standard and I don't see GW being able to present this to their investors and convince them to take a risk on something that already has plastic models
Combat drugs are on a 2D6 chart and are optional.
Yeah... No..
Darklight weapons (dark lances, blasters, blast pistols) all gain the blind special rule.
How is this even remotely useful? Wow, a dedicated AT weapon now causes blind on less than 30% of the time, unless you're wasting shots on Necron Warriors
During night fighting all enemy units are treated as affected by the blind special rule and there are powers to make it dark on various rounds.
Lol, what? You mean DE will get an army wide invisibility IF they succeed night fighting roll? What about all the searchlights and blind/NF immunity from Tau?
Whenever a Dark Eldar unit with the Power From Pain rule attacks an enemy unit that’s blinded, those attacks gain rending and instant death.
Nice wishlisting
Power from Pain is no longer a turn chart. Instead there are different types of pain the army focuses on, during a given turn and the army fights differently based on what’s chosen. No more details other than that.
"Details". I like how vague this sentence pretends to be after thoroughly explaining something.
The Court of the Archon gets a second copy of the warlord’s warlord power. Additionally enemies do not achieve the Slay the Warlord objective until they’ve killed both the warlord and the Court.
Yawn, more wishlisting.
Succubi are like what Lilith Hesperax is right now. Not exactly sure what that means.
Neither do I but it sounds like something nice to put on clickbait
Hellions can hit-and-run on their initiative step rather than at the end of the combat round. Shoot, assault, make CC attacks, and then bounce out of combat before the enemy can make their attacks.
So you're straight up making up random rules without realizing how utterly bad they are? Why the actual feth would I use this form of hit&run when it leaves the Helion wide open to get shredded by million bolter shots. Anyone who plays DE with focus on CC would know that you always try to find the balance on a unit, so it kills what ever it assaults but never on first turn of combat, because otherwise it will die instantly on the opponents turn
Wracks are 2W and any character automatically passes LOS rolls if they have a Wrack with them.
What? Why? This unit is not even remotely close to be classified as 2W unit, neither in cost or fluff. They are basically mutilated and drugged up DE's and giving them +1T and FnP reflects this well enough, I would welcome the change but this is just drivel
2/10 for effort, otherwise this is garbage clickbait

@zewrath- I agree with just about everything you said here.
As much as I would love to pull my Coven list out to play I don't see this happening. Heck if we are going to wish list let's make Talos D in CC heh. Any chance Sad Panda could weigh in on these supposed tumors?

Wouldn't have posted them if they hadn't originated (as far as I knew) from Reece at front line.
As for the hellions possible hit and run bonus, running BEFORE the enemy swings on their turn would be huge! Especially with the bonuses they could pile on when charging. 1-2 s3 attacks each means so little that I would dip out and charge again whenever the opportunity presented itself.
As for blind on the dark lance, if they didn't change the points why would addi g a fluffy bonus be a problem?
Given that the Incubi, Mandrakes, and Grotesques pretty much what's left that need plastic kits, I agree. Even if they were to redo the wytches, what would they be redone into?
Multi kit with Mandrakes and/or Incubi?

I stopped reading after "Wyches get new models". I could go on and on debunking this but I don't think I can say anything that hasn't already been said.
Next time, that kind of wishing should be put at the bottom of the list, like a punchline or something, right at the beginning just killed the entire article.

Hell, I'm not that bothered by the Stormraven. Why? Because, as it stands right now, it's "limited use".When it's shoehorned in to the Codex: Space Marines, then yeah. I'll be irked.
