Heyho guys!

1) What would you consider the better HQ to stick to my Deathwing Knights?
Or would you keep the knights without any added HQ unit?

2) Whats the best way to use Deathwing Knights?
I really love the models and want to use them!
Deepstriking them always means to have them stand there useless for 1 turn getting shot at, so is the LR really the best choice?

#####

Ezekiel used to be super awesome with his +1WS, but now its only 1 additional attack. (WS6 on Knights is an awesome defence against most enemies!)
The IC on the other hand lets you reroll to hit in the first round of combat!

The Knights have 2 attacks +1 on the charge.
Since they have WS5 we can assume that they hit on a 3+ most of the time and are getting hit on a 4+ (assuming enemy is WS4).
They hit 2/3 of their attacks resulting in 2 hits on average base.

With Ezekiel this will be 4 attacks hitting on 3s resulting in 2.33 hits on average.
With an IC (and I am very bad with Numbers, so please correct me here!) the average would be 2.66 hits or only 11.1% (1/3*1/3) chance to miss with each attack.
Therefore I assume, that the IC is generally the better support for a melee based unit if you make the charge, because the additional attack is only worth if you can land it.

If you do NOT make the charge but get charged, Ezekiel becomes the better choice since you get an extra attack no matter what.
But again, the IC can buf the Knights Smite attack while Ezekiels buff is negated by the fixed modifier of the smite special rule.

What IC would you prefer to stick to the knights?
I know that Belial is an obvious choice, but I don't think hes that good for 200 points...

If you go Ezekiel you also get psychic powers, which can be used to further buff the Knights
You could go divination and get precience, which gives the same thing the IC gives, but also getting the +1 attack. You could also go for Interromancy and get some of those awesome powers, such as giving the DW Knights rage, or making a target unit WS/BS 1 for a turn, and possible the rest of the game. However, the powers can be denied, so its not guaranteed
That said, a Mace of Redemption IC can make them incredibly powerful as well, so i think its in part up to personal preference

You would require more Librarians to make sure you have enough Warp Charges to get the powers you want to succeed.

The Chaplain requires less investment and makes their first turn in combat just that much better.

Not to mention that the Chappy can tank wounds better for the unit than Ezekiel. If you just want to have fun, take both! They can ride in the same LRC still.
