I've been researching the colors for painting Leather, and find many of the ones are very dark (Rhinox Hide for example).

I would like to do something a little warmer. Think like a light leather, worn, old saddle or saddle bag.

I watched a vid about using VX-88 and then using a shade to darken it up and then mixing VX-88 and Ushabti Bone to drybrush and warm it up a bit.

What colors do you use?

I use mournfang brown as a base, then edge highlight slightly with balor brown and wash with agrax after.

I... actually don't know. Help?

I personally use Gorthor Brown, shaded with Agrax and highlighted with Cadian Fleshtone.

For a warmish brown I tend to go with Vallejo Hull Red as base then highlight with Flat Brown then mix Flat Brown with Tan Yellow for future highlights. Hull Red is dark so if you'd prefer to use a shade you can skip the Hull Red
