Ultramarine Land Raider Pilot on Cruise Control

Silver Spring, MD

Sons of Orar are a likely Ultramarines descendant (without much backstory) but I ended up picking them for my Epic: Armageddon marines just to have something red to paint. I believe they were originally the personal army of one of the GW studio guys and were known as Tyranid hunters, but somehow that fluff has disappeared.

Howling Griffons are another Ultramarines successor with an even niftier scheme (red and yellow quartered) and are one of the chapters that participated in the Badab War.

I've also always liked the Storm Lords; White Scars descendants with a bisected red and white scheme. They have a reputation for hunting Ork warlords.
