Good lord I would be painting for Eons. How do I enter this magnificent contest? Or is it barred to Canadians as is mostly every single promotion, deal, and discount in existence?

"Countries: Worldwide excluding the United States of America, Canada, the States and Territories of Australia and New Zealand." Sorry to be the bearer of bad news.

But holy gak., £2000 worth of models... I don't know where I'd keep all of it.

I never get exited when I see promotions like this because they're always for non-canadians. Thanks for the swift answer.

They would get more money though from more applicants, so weird how they exclude customers. It's almost as if, they don't care.

Or maybe they just want UK people to have a chance of winning, after Americans took all the prizes last time?

It is weird that they're excluding half the world from entry. I'd imagine that the USA, Canada and Australia make up a large percentage of their customers.

It's more likely that GW has different divisions and that this promotion only applies to a portion of a division within the company and that the USA/other areas excluded will have their own competitions and sales drives and suchlike. It's not abnormal for a territory to get a bonus over other territories like this.

Nah Australia is never a part of any of these kind of things from GW, apparently because of some of the laws that relate to gambling in a few of the states here.

It's probably the same with Canada.

And from one of the previous competitions I know a few of the stats in the US have similar laws... so maybe GW got in trouble with one of their previous competitions?

Well, I needed to order a few more Harlequins, so may as well do it now. I haven't the foggiest idea what I'd do with £2000's worth of models, though. I mean, I could finish my Harlequin army with rotation options to spare, but I'm not sure I could see that coming to more than £300-£400, really.

Yeah, no US entries I'm afraid...

What I couldn't do with £2000 worth of models... Baneblades, attack!

(Totally entering this)

Would be funny if the prizes all went to Japan/China.

I always thought that was a picture of an Ultramarine hiding in a smoking hole with a "you saw nothing" type expression.

"Entry is free to all eligible users of Games Workshop’s web store (www.games-workshop.com) who satisfy the requirements detailed below."

Er I think you mean rule 5 part 1

Please note the following prize conditions:
i Only products currently available on www.games-workshop.com can be chosen by the winners.

And currently available I suspect means simply that you can't put anything discontinued and not in stock or anything nor currently in production (said because there will be stuff sold in regular hobby stores that isn't in stock - esp in the independent stores). Tomb Kings would be a prime example; you'd likely be able to get any left on order, but anything out of stock wouldn't be up for grabs.

Our GW manager says the Australia version is meant to be in July, but given that these things are almost always exclusive of Australia, I'm not exactly holding my breath.

On that note, given that roughly 1000 AUD (+/- 100AUD) buys a competative 1850 list (not including books/paint/etc), and that at the time of writing, the exchange rate is dead on 2:1, what does 2000 GBP buy you in soggy old England?

IMO £2000 would probably get you between three and four 1850/2000pt armies, depending on what you're buying.
