So I got this model for $5 with the white dwarf, and sat on it for months. Then after farting around with wet palette for two months i figured "what would Jack Burton do at a time like this?" So here is the end product.

Very nice, I really like the different grasses on the base, gives it a real punch of realism.

Should be getting some Sigmarines this week and have been wondering how to paint them. Wasn't too keen on going full gold and shiny, so examples like this show me it can be done (and to a much higher degree than I will be able to!).

As above, also really like the base.

Excellent unlike so many models this is not overdone and just right

Life is like a box of chocolates. A cheap, thoughtless and perfunctory gift nobody ever asked for. Unreturnable because all you get back is another box of chocolates. So you're stuck with this undefinable whipped mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down because there's nothing left to drink. Sure once in a while there's a peanut butter cup or a English toffee, but they're gone too fast and the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits of hardened jelly and teeth shattering nuts. If you're desperate enough to eat those all you've got left is a. An empty box, filled with useless brown paper wrappers.

That really is a fantastic paint job.

If GW hadn't put those awful mask heads on those models, you'd have just sold me totally on AoS with that painting.

Currently most played: Silent Death, Mars Code Aurora, Battletech, Warcrow and Infinity.

Absolutely ace! Yes, the wet palette has certainly worked wonders. Now that the dust has mostly settled, I can say that AoS has definitely piqued my interest... and this post helps!

AoS seems to have a lot of mixed reviews, but some of the models are really cool and a joy to paint, i wouldn't write the whole thing off.
