I'm thinking of getting one for my abhuman regiment (it's gonna be the only tank in the list), how should i equip it to optimise it? Anti-tank is something my army struggles with

The Lascannon turret with a hull demolisher gun seems like a good all rounder "Kill everything" vehicle/

Malcadors are lovely but I wouldn't consider them anti-tank. They're a rolling brick of blast templates and Thunderblitz, you want them blowing infantry to bits.
Combining a hull-mounted Demolisher with the turret-mounted Battlecannon seems like a good first step. Packing 2 extremely destructive large blasts onto a frame that can split fire. The sponsons are less important; Lascannons are worth the upgrade, but BS3 makes them very much a late-minute adjustment rather than a must-have.

Flare Shields and Armoured Ceramite both seem mandatory to me. You don't spend ~300pts on a tank but save 25 to avoid their greatest weakness. Also worth noting that Siege Armour should be mandatory, since you can move and fire everything as a Superheavy. It's a real no-brainer, effectively +1AV with zero downsides.

If you want to abandon anti-tank entirely, the Infernus is a monster. Although that one might be Auxilia-exclusive.

It is auxillia only.

If you really need antitank, I'd go with a demolisher cannon and maxed out lascannons. A battlecannon is nice but suffers from being unable to do anything meaningful to a flare shielded target.
