I read the forums in the morning. I either paint or read a novel in the evenings. I play roughly twice a month (if you average it out) on a weekend.

All in all I spend roughly 10 to 15 hours per week participating in the various aspects of our hobby.

I think I spend 5-10 hours on the hobby most weeks. I don't paint as often as I should. I'm also not counting time spent on DakkaDakka as part of my hobby time.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

modelling and hobbying combined are about 20+ hours a week. But I'm a slow painter.

I also play at least 1 game every week or two, which tends to be about 3-4 hours depending on set up speed and points.

Usually about 5-10 hours. My job doesn't leave me time during the week to do hobby related activities, so that leaves weekends but even then, I don't get that much time when you factor in time with friends/family/Fallout...

This week is different though since I'm off for a couple weeks. I'm looking at around 40+ hours, probably will pull an all nighter or two. As I...may have procrastinated horribly with my painting for an upcoming tournament (which required the usual 3-colour minimum) and now have to paint around 800 points of a 1500 point list in three days and finish my display board. Fun!

I run a tournament package, website and events, play twice a week, paint some models and read novels before going to bed. Around 10-20 hours I'd say.

Varies dramatically. I tend to buy 2-4k points at a time and then go on a building / painting binge for a couple of months. Once that's done I might not get any more models for quite a while.

I usually Read Dakka in the morning and sometimes before bed, Watch a Batrep to go to sleep, and alternate from working on models to working on cosplay for 30 minutes after 90 minutes of Video games.

So probably about 15 hours a week, more if I can Manage to get a Game or two in.

Working away from home means there's not a lot to do in the evenings, so probably 2-3 hours a night I paint, then playing games on the weekend would add another 6 hours, so around 20'ish a week.

The worst part for me is I don't have time... so many unfinished projects that could be completed if I just got one week free.

the key is to have a sleeping disorder. Also to paint faster than I do

I have hardly any time during the week, but I've been trying to get back into the habit of painting for half an hour every evening. It is having a noticeable impact on getting through my current project (still slow though).

Weekends and school holidays I'll probably paint for two hours on half the days. I'd say 5-10 hrs.

painting is my job, as well as a hobby, so i put in a full work week...
i paint 6 hours a day, 7 days a week, for 42 hours total...

every couple of weeks, i'll take a break and spend that time prepping models for a day or two, but i don't like to take much time off from painting, not only because my queue is always booked three months in advance, but also because the muscle memory stays fresh...
if i take three days off from painting, it usually takes me about three days to get back in the groove of full 6 hour sessions again...

i like the routine of working from 9pm to 3am every day..
i get to have my fun during the day, take a siesta, and then work....
surf all morning, hang with a girl all afternoon, and paint all night...
it's a good schedule...

cheers

15-20 hours a week. Basically all of it is reading forums as I am in a little bit of a hobby paralysis at the moment.

If we are counting time on Dakka, I’m pegging the chart.

If not, I’m probably in the 5-10 bracket.

I'm currently in my final year at uni so I don't have as much hobby time as I like, what with all the studying.
I voted 0-5 for hobby, just because every now and then I like to spend a bit of time list-building or planning future army expansions. Counting Dakka and online lore diving (just can't get enough)? probably double that.
