Hey guys, I have about 10 Space Marine Bikes including a Sergeant with power fist (because Crimson Fists) as well as a Captain on a bike and an Attack Bike.

Are these best run as one giant blob or as 2-3 smaller squads?

2-3 smaller squads so that you can maximize your Special Weapons.

Ok, so something like

4 Space Marine Bikes; Sergeant with power fist and combi-grav, 2 grav guns, Attack Bike with multi-melta

4 Space Marine Bikes; 2 grav guns

Or should I split it up further? 2 specials in 3 bikes seems a little iffy. More ablative wounds would be better, no?

I typically do two normal Bikers, two with Grav or Melta, and depending on the list the Sergeant will carry a Combi-Weapon of the same nature.

Some people like to add Attack Bikes; I've just never done it as I've NEVER owned the model.

Don't see attack bikes used as much in my LGS. I've seen units of 4 wreak havoc with grav and combo grav though.

I play Ravenwing and usually take a combination of Black Knights/RWCS, Full bike squad of 6 + Attack bike (so I can combat squad them), and one or two other small squads with 2 special weapons in each unit. Attack bike takes a MM for some very mobile and surprisingly durable anti-tank. I always take grav on the regular bikes, as bikes are the best platform for it.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):

There's just no point to Combat Squad for those Bikers though. It stops Special Weapon saturation when you try to do that.

Sorry, I should clarify. I usually run the big squad and combat squad them when I run the Lion's Blade detachment, as a Ravenwing Attack Squadron. That way I can have more bike units and still only have to take one Land Speeder (good when points are tight). When I take a Ravenwing Strike Force, I do prefer to MSU them. I don't have enough special weapon bikers, but I can probably get/convert some more, maybe a few with meltas.

I prefer 3 bikes (2 specials) + 1 attack bike. It still gives you 5 wounds and an extra special.

I'm sticking with the old (6th) squad count. 5 bikers with 2 specials and 1 Combi or PF. I like their resilience compared to 3 bikes. Usually i run 2 Melta squads, and add an attack bike with Multimelta for an extra AT weapon and a couple more wounds.

I prefer to have 5 bikes and an attack bike in my squads; 1 sergeant, 2 special weapons, 2 meat shields, and an attack bike with multi melta. I have 5 of these squads in my white scars army.

“Because we couldn’t be trusted. The Emperor needed a weapon that would never obey its own desires before those of the Imperium. He needed a weapon that would never bite the hand that feeds. The World Eaters were not that weapon. We’ve all drawn blades purely for the sake of shedding blood, and we’ve all felt the exultation of winning a war that never even needed to happen. We are not the tame, reliable pets that the Emperor wanted. The Wolves obey, when we would not. The Wolves can be trusted, when we never could. They have a discipline we lack, because their passions are not aflame with the Butcher’s Nails buzzing in the back of their skulls.
The Wolves will always come to heel when called. In that regard, it is a mystery why they name themselves wolves. They are tame, collared by the Emperor, obeying his every whim. But a wolf doesn’t behave that way. Only a dog does.
That is why we are the Eaters of Worlds, and the War Hounds no longer."

My friend likes to run:
Khan
CM - Smashfether with Hunter's Eye (Possibly just Auspex or both)
3x5 Command Squad - 4 Gravs & Apoth
2x3 Troop Bike - 2 Grav
2x3 Troop Bike - 2 Melta

He runs it with White Scars for 3+ Jink and passes Dangerous. I mean, who doesn't run White Scars when you play C:SM. I even run White Scars in my Drop Pod Gladius.

Don't get forget about adding Hunter's Eye in one of the squad and an Auspex if you want to get a force multiplier in there as well.
