Wassup dakka dakka, recently came across a thread where it seemed pretty unanimous that csm is the worst faction in the game right now. This is disheartening considering how strong they are supposed to be in the fluff.

Good people of dakka, I implore you to come up with the cheesiest, most broken list that you all can come up with that will make chaos proud! Points limits are between 1000-1850

Edit: try to keep it battle-forged

Is there even such a thing? Tychus zombie horde is probably the best one with that kind of a point limit. If you're looking for a super cheesy list for a small game, you can fit 2 Baledrakes in 500 pts.

7000 pts 1000 pts 2000 pts 500 pts 3000 pts

You know KDK and CSM aren't the same army right? CSM are bad, KDK are not.

Though you *can* totally ally KDK with CSM for some fun. Purchasing a Dreadclaw as Fast Attack and tossing some Khorne guys in is a recipe for happiness.

If happiness = bloodshed. Which is does. Because Khorne.

Step 1: Go to E-Bay
Step 2: Sell your Chaos army
Step 3: Buy an Eldar army with the money you made.

Congratulations, you now used your Chaos army to make an OP list.

Not really, because MoS sucks on Daemon Princes.

Yall are killing me I included MOS cause it seemed to be the cheapest mark to take.

btw how are kdk that much better than csm? I felt like theyre in the same family even if the kdk have a few more options.

Simple. They have access to good unit choices form CD (Flesh Hounds, Soul Grinders, D-Thirsters) while also getting a good Formation (Gore Pack) and free rules and units from Blood Tithe.

Basically you take the few good units from CSM and they/Khorne Daemons get access to FNP at some point.

That's makes quite a difference actually.

Because of MSU fearless Flesh Hounds with feel no pain.

Flesh hounds are pretty good. Not amazing, 16pts is a decent deal for them. They're fast, durable, and OK in combat.
One of the problems with them has been that you can't put enough units on the table due to Force Org restrictions. 4 units of 5 is going to be better than 1 unit of 20 (due to the inability to really 'death star' them up), especially with how vital mobility is in todays's games. Then add in that KDK get bonuses for each unit of hounds that dies, and taking multiple tiny units gets even better.
Enter the Gorepack. For the tax of 2x units of Chaos Bikers, you can take 4 units of flesh hounds. Not too shabby. But there's more! Flesh hounds get Fearless in KDK - an amazing increase in durability over the Instability they have in the Daemons codex. They get Hammer of Wrath - increasing their damage output by ~40% on the charge. PEsykers is a fun little addition sometimes too.
The 'tax' of bikers actually works out well because of the Blood Tithe table. You get a BT point for the character dying, and another for the unit dying. In fact, at 76pts for 2 BT points, they're the second cheapest BT generators (after cultists). The unit can take melta guns (giving you a fast melta platform that can pop Rhinos for your hounds to charge the contents). Then add shred on HoW, move through cover, and PE-psykers for fun.

Well youd only get that 2nd BT if you actually charge in with the bikes and challenge, if you get shot off the board, no extra BT. Usually im running around with them trying to hit as much armor as possible with the melta guns. KDK while being better is just so danm expensive to field sometimes. But im waiting(praying) for someone to post a cheese mongrel list with kdk or csm to shut me up.

Although typhus and zombies seems like a pretty strong combo out of csm... not to well versed on the zombies though.

I actually LOVE Bikers from the Gorepack formations. I would max out on both hounds AND bikers.

Regarding Typhus and Zombies, it only works if you take Huron as the Warlord to infiltrate them, because Scatterbikes and Canoptek Wraiths.

Do you put them in close combat though? Might Aswell take an axe or a powerfist at that point.

Depends on how you read that rule. I get that it is contentious in some places, but the rule says:

"blah blah you give a Blood Tithe point if a character is slain, or slays an enemy character in a challenge".

The comma after 'slain' is very important. It means you get a BT point if any of your characters die, no matter how or when.
Your interpretation would be correct if the comma was not present.
Again, some places may rule it differently in an FAQ, but that is how it is ruled in tournament FAQs around here.
