So I am going to start a small Void Dragons force to back up my Yme-Loc Craftworld Eldar forces that I have right now. I am thinking of keeping it to mostly jetpack troops (the aesthetic is just TOO cool) so I won't be going the falcon/venom route yet. I also don't have the $ to go into hornets either, unfortunately, but that will be my first future expansion for the void dragons. Here we go at 1000 points. Right now I'm writing a corsair raiders detachment, but I should be building enough units to run them with the humble CAD as well. Here we go, Void Dragons v1: corsair raiders: Prince - jetpack, void sabre, combat drugs, haywire 'nades, shadow field (Survivor of the endless Darkness) Coterie - Baron (sky burners) - jet pack, void sabre, FnP, force shield ghostwalkers - 4x lasblasters, 1x blaster, jetpacks, haywire 'nades (love the idea of infiltrate and stealth on these guys) Reavers - jet packs, haywire 'nades, 2x blasters, 2x lasblasters, felarch w/ venom blade & FnP Reavers - jet packs, haywire 'nades, 2x fusion guns, 2x lasblasters, felarch w/ venom blade & FnP Coterie - Baron (hate bringers) - jetbike, force shield, void sabre, haywire 'nades, FnP, wild psyker lvl 1 (divination for prescience) cloud dancers - 2x scatter lasers, felarch w/scatter laser, FnP cloud dancers - 2x scatter lasers, felarch w/scatter laser, FnP Vyper - shuriken cannon, twin-lasblasters, void burners So I figure the cloud dancers deploy out of line of sight in cover with their baron and the rest deep strikes. With a 1d6" deep strike from sky burners it's pretty reliable. I have haywire 'nades everywhere so I should have armor dealth with, as well as blasters and fusion guns to shoot them with if I don't want to go into combat. I think the baron from the sky burners coterie goes with the fusion gun guys and the prince with the blaster guys, maybe flip em depending on what I want to do. With brace of pistols each guy gets 3 attacks on the charge, so that's a ton of attacks on the charge from 5 or 6 dudes at initiative 5 or 6. jetbike baron does his best to give twin-linked to his guys without exploding or turning into a demon of slaanesh. It's fast, hits pretty dang hard and is very pirate-y imo. Needs to be close, minus the jetbikes, and fades back with reckless abandon to deny charges. In non ITC games the cloud dances can reckless abandon even in overwatch. I think it fits corsairs and will be fun. What about y'all?
