I built this list with using Unending Host in mind but my community constantly puts restrictions on me for any organized event. Like No lord of war for me but 3 other guys get to use like 5 in one list. They also pit me against armies 2x my points even 3x. Then the players whine to the TO about me during the match with text messages because they are good buddies with the owner and the TO has to come out and disqualify me, for example, I did not have a physcial copy of the big rule book or my dex and I was disqualified on turn 2 with 1 point lead even though my opponent knows about and fought my army several times.

I already traded my mtg and most of my old army to collect 200 cultists to play Renegades and Heretics. I built this list knowing full well they will ban me from using formations or special detachments because the players are like that. I am only sticking around to play a few people who are not donkey caves but will still have to face them anyways.

Long story short. Can this list work well without the benefits from Unending Host?

Renegade Command Squad, Arch demigogue, master of the horde =65

Infantry platoon 1
Command Squad, militia training, 12 extra men, 1 guy with command vox, 2 men with meltaguns =80
infantry squad 1, militiia training, 12 extra men 3 men with meltaguns =85
infantry squad 2, militiia training, 12 extra men 3 men with meltaguns =85

Infantry platoon 2
Command Squad, militia training, 12 extra men, 1 guy with command vox, 2 men with meltaguns =80
infantry squad 1, militiia training, 12 extra men 3 men with meltaguns =85
infantry squad 2, militiia training, 12 extra men 3 men with meltaguns =85

Infantry platoon 3
Command Squad, militia training, 12 extra men, 1 guy with command vox, 2 men with meltaguns =80
infantry squad 1, militiia training, 12 extra men 3 men with meltaguns =85
infantry squad 2, militiia training, 12 extra men 3 men with meltaguns =85

Infantry platoon 4
Command Squad, militia training, 12 extra men, 1 guy with command vox, 2 men with meltaguns =80
infantry squad 1, militiia training, 12 extra men 3 men with meltaguns =85
infantry squad 2, militiia training, 12 extra men 3 men with meltaguns =85

The Purge
Renegade command squad =45

6 squads of 3 spawns =330

No benefits from 2+ revive, no outflanking, no extra run on revival, no 3++ cover save from intervening models. Can this even work?

work around to include 6 squads of spawns is to put 2-3 in the 1st detachment. Then 3 more in 2nd detachment.

Really I suggest finding a different play group

Also my understanding was that they wouldn't let you run unedning host becaust you didn't have a physical copy of the vraks book, why would they let you use the Purge?

Probably Arch Heretek Demagogue would be better for non-respawning hordes, for the feel no pain upgrade on your 20 man squads that doesnt disappear upon death of the squad leader (like covenants) and is ten points cheaper.

Also if you use a standard combined arms detachment with a master of the horde from IA13 at least you can up the size of the squads to 30 and go for some interesting flavour with tzeentch and slaanesh.

you are right. Not only that. No codex, no army, no play. But i had planned for that.

"work around to include 6 squads of spawns is to put 2-3 in the 1st detachment. Then 3 more in 2nd detachment."
Not only that, not having the codex on hand wont allow me to play the army at all. It really doesnt matter.

If I cant play RH then its just 200 cultists from CSM. Not going to win but what ever.

also just opt to not play these people who have the attitude of ,"I paid full price n so should you." "I know your army, I fought your amy, but no book no way."

Its no big deal. Its not that important for me to play anymore. I am not a pro nor will I ever be able to play on that level. I just wanted to have fun n not auto lose like my 6th ed CSM army. What I can try to do is trade for for the book which wont be easy. At this point i can afford the book, but they refuse to play me out of principal and so I will refuse to support GW/FW and like minded people with the same snob mentality principal.

rant
Spoiler:
What is the difference between having the rules printed in an official book or a legit data slate compared to a fedex copy or a scanned pdf on a computer screen? Nothing besides the fact that someone paid full price to own the rights to play and support a company that refuses to own up to being a gaming company and using sly sales tactics. The rules are just 10-20 pages but you have to buy the artistic fluff of 200 pages that isnt represented in the game or crunch because its a best selling novel. Yes a best selling novel not a rule book. Hundreds of thousands of people buy it to read the rich flavorful fluff of 200pages not the 20pages of actual games rules. Oh and people buy hundreds of the same model as a hobby to paint all 200 models to collect n sit on a shelf not actually use them in a game and thats why the prices are what they are. Bottom line, I must own the right to play this army in this ITC tournament by owning the physcial book. No contest No arguing. If I dont comply then i dont play no whinning.

Some people think digital versions of the book let you cheat by editing it in photoshop or such.

It doesnt matter, I have to respect people who own the rights to play. I just have to opt not to participate in any Organized events and find people cool enough to not care about ownership so much.

Intercessor is the only one giving valuable feedback.

I can totally lump up 2x15 squads into 30 men to increase survival and would opt for Slaanesh if it allows me to move to cultists faster and farther.
