I recently finished assembling a space marine, but regretted the head I gave it. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to replace the head with a more desired look. I'm guessing I have to start nabbing with a hobby knife or clippers?

depending how much glue you used or what type just yank it off. if its the plastic glue that melts the plastic you might be gak outa luck.

you could also drill into the head weakening the location the heads sitting on or if the drill bit/locations good enough it will just effortlessly pop off

Even with plastic glue you can normally twist the head off

Thanks for the replies. I have used plastic glue, although I should point out I have been able to pry apart plastic glue before by poking into where the glued joint is. Any thoughts?

I've also heard that freezing can help it.

Freezing won't do bupkiss v plastic glue (well, any GOOD plastic glue ... GW's branded stuff was pretty weak for a while though and looking at it wrong tended to make its bonds fall apart).

It works for SUPERGLUE though.

Pry it off or cut it off are pretty much the only way to break a solvent bond (chemical weld).

Well... At the moment all i have to work with is snapfit tac marines and with a bith of patiants and a sharp knife you can remove the heads, and still use them. So i cant see that a type of glue would make any difference.

If you don't want to reuse the head, then yeah take some pliers and yank it off like an enthusiastic dentist. Don't just pull up though, twist it in a circular motion to weaken the bond.
