I don't think we've had a thread on this so seems a good time to start one.
there's lots of stuff on Shapeways useful for 40k (and necromunda, and epic and BFG etc) but not always easy to find. Some is borderline copyright infringement, other stuff is just useful generic stuff, so I thought I'd put the question out, what have you found on Shapeways (or other 3d print sites) that's useful?
I've been tempted for a while by the 'Gang Wars' line with their female hive gangers, weapons and terrain. It's not been updated in a long time and is probably dead, but the models are still available.

Looking at the quality of the printed moonshine distiller or whatever that is, I can't imagine the girls would look anything but terrible.
Too bad, because the 3d sculpts are marvelous.

What's wrong with the distiller? Looks fine to me.

Cow's udders are pretty weird and gross looking but milk and cheese taste just fine to me!

I found the Razorback turret parts on Shapeways. They don't come with the weapon parts, but that is fine because I can make both turrets this way.

I run a shop on Shapeways, so I feel like I should clarify this.
Shapeways offers a number of different printing technologies with different advantages and disadvantages. The distiller (or whatever) is printed in their White, Strong, and Flexible material which uses a laser to sinter plastic powder. It has a rough texture and lower level of detail, but it's very cheap (and strong, as the name suggests) which makes it ideal for large things like terrain pieces or for large numbers of small things that don't require much detail (like markers for Battlefleet Gothic!).
If you bought those ganger models, which are gorgeous sculpts, you would want to opt for Frosted Ultra Detail or Frosted Extreme Detail. These use an SLA technology (I believe) to give you a model with very good detail and barely noticeable print lines. Obviously they cost more than WSF for a given size model, and they also have smaller overall dimensions restrictions.
So no, the gangers wouldn't end up looking like the distillery at all. I bet they'd look very close to the render. And for what it's worth, on the table even WSF look great for the right applications, like Epic scale vehicles. From 3 feet away, with a good paint job, they more than fill the role.

For what it's worth, I've got a warhound made in ultra frosted and after undercoating its smooth to the touch.
Same with my Epic necron monolith's and pylons.
I would avoid the white plastic though.
That really is rough.
