Here is my work in progress Tempestus Army.

Happy to take any C/C anyone can offer.

Load the Flamer Squad and two Command squads into Vendettas. Try to Alpha strike to the best of their ability on turn 2.

Your Problem is that Veteran Squads are cheaper and better (one additional SW)

100 pts for Taurox Prime with rocket Launcher is way too much. Tempestus alone are no competitive codex :-(

You can play the same Army with AM and will get more bang for your pts.

BtW i love the MT but they are overpriced at the moment.

I dig it boss. Now, I think to make it more - I'll use the word enjoyable here - to split your 10 man squads into 5-man and bring taurox's for them too. Then you have 5 boxes moving around capping objectives, instead of 3. Taurox's are somewhat 'squishy' in the world of transports. av11 on the front but 10 on the sides and back isn't too encouraging with the age of scat bikes and skyhammer will be zapping those real fast.

I understand this is a more casual list, so if this is the look you're going for GOOD FOR YOU! I do love the look of the models and this army looks like a load of fun to play!

As above, two five man squads are much more valuable than a single ten man. (Just acknowledge you'll lose the one kill point mission in every tournament.)

The value of Tempestus, in most missions, is to overwhelm with Objective Secured all over the board. A five man squad is actually more durable than a Taurox. For each Taurox you drop, you can add another deep-striking Scion squad. I know you probably don't have that many Scion models, but field as many as you can and deep strike them all (ok maybe some in Vendettas).

Try and balance the MSU swarm with something that hits hard and long. Vendettas are good, Wyverns are devastating. Consider the new artillery formation too; Scion vox-casters work with it too.

Culexus is best assassin.

I ran 6 five man troops plus two commandsquads loaded with meltas together with Flesh tearers (priest + scouts + droppods) and threw in a knight and a culexus (4 detachments).

2 melta troops in droppod, and the culexus also in drop pod.

Rest deep strikes in... Fun and still a bit dangerous for most players. (not top tier thou)

I love the Scion and Taurox Prime. Some of my favorite models from GW. I'm tempted to start an army of them just because it'd be fun to model. So I'd say just build your army around what you want to assemble and paint, and what you think would look cool.

I've seen some games of 6 taurox primes screaming up the board and it's pretty awesome looking.

The list i played last week against Gladius Strike Force... So many units i could'nt handle it... But it was a fun list. Speciallly against his Librarius Conclave

Culexus Assassin

I like it! I, too love Scions and want to make a Scion only army using the Emperor's Spear Aerial Company and an assassin. Would you consider dropping one Vendetta for a Valkyrie? The Valkyrie will bring some anti-infantry to the table. I don't love the Vindicare in a Scion army. You have really effective shooting already. Maybe consider a CC assassin like an Eversor or Callidus.

I'm super content dropping the Scions down to 5man squads, hell I'm equally content dropping the Tauroxes all together and just running all Scions + Spear/Assassin.

I think a Culexus may be the better choice.

Command Squads ride around in the Vendettas and drop down to take out dangerous targets, etc.
