So in comparison to the iron claw (ap2 strength 10 unweildy) the warpsword (Strength = user AP 3 mastercrafted) is a bit lacklustre, I can see the appeal of taking both as they are both specialist weapons but is the warpsword worth the 25 points? Thoughts?

No.
Thread over
but seriously 25pts for only +1 attack (and master crafted against T3-4 3+ units when S10 and ap2 don't matter) is too many points.

I thought so, I've seen a few people take them and I always think to myself "am I missing something? They look terrible costwise" good to know I wont be needing it

Well, when facing infantry, the Master Crafted and +1 attack helps.
That's not worth 25 points, but it at least doesn't actively harm you as an upgrade. Plus it looks cool.

I put them on the model because they look cool, but that's all they do. I don't actually use them in game. You're far better off buying one of the ranged weapon upgrades.

Nope, unless you want to self-handicap yourself.

No. The 25pts are almost certainly better spent elsewhere in your list.
