So since SDK is no longer updating their point system.... what do we use now?

There's still clash, ppc, and azyr.

Gotcha, do you know which one people use most? Do any of these account for what SDK didnt? Like synergy and formations?

Sad to hear it, though I'll admit I've mostly moved on to the SCGT pack at this point anyway

SCGT is what most of the tournament people use because its what the current GTs used. As such it is probably the "default standard".

PPC seems to me to be more precision based.

Azyr is general rough balance used for a campaign system though some people use it for competitive events still.

PPC accounts for synergy and we have most of the battalions in, working on the rest. We also have point costs for terrain warscrolls to bring as part of your army (Sylvaneth rejoice!).

PPC comp still good if I just use it for the points and none of the core changes in casual games? I mostly do the battles from the book and it's nice to see they offer what points in forces you should take.

Yes, it will do quite well.

Should be quite well indeed, since there aren't that many changes to begin with (summoning being the biggest exception).

Azyr = Quickest and easiest to use (very accessible to newbies).
Clash = Great scenarios, widespread tournament use.
PPC = Best balance and most options, also most complex.

How about actually using the rules GW has made?

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

People are in this thread because they have already decided they are interested in using a comp. While not all players prefer that each one's individual opinion is valid because there is no 'wrong' fun to be had. Discussion of compless AoS would be in a different thread.

That is what I thought, but Hate to assume, so since he didn't say it, wanted to make sure if that was the case or not.
