Was curious to see how many guardsmen you own, mainly to see how many people are running the formation that has what, 175?

EDIT: And what do you use them as? How many are guardsmen, vets, conscripts? Share below!

I've got just over 200 Imperial Guardsmen, including Storms, but excluding Sisters of Battle and Inquistion.

I mix and match my IG, but there are supposed organize as 3 Veteran Squads and a full Platoon with HWS / SWS support. No Conscripts.

Currently am standing at 62 Elysian Drop Troops and 45 Death Korps of Krieg Death Riders when actual Guardsment are concerned.

Not precisely sure any more, but I have a little over 200 guardsmen. I mix and match their roles depending on how I want to run them any given day. Lately I've just been using my Leman Russes so I don't have to scoot that many dudemens around the table as my playing time is already limited enough.

Standard guardsmen: Vostroyans, roughly 50, also used as Veterans

Conscripts: FW Renegades, 40

70+ Tallarn
~50 metal Cadians
~150 metal Necromunda gangers and Catachans
~30 Juves and other Micl (conscripts)
55 Mordians

And that's not counting old armies and projects.

Right now, I have 175 Cadians being assembled. That is JUST the Infantry Squads, Company Command Squads, and Platoon Command Squads needed to run the barebones Cadian Detachment from Mont'ka.

That's 15x Infantry Squads with Missile Launchers in them(helps me pad the model count for the Infantry Squads by freeing up some more lasgunners), Vox-Casters, and Sergeants.

Then I have 40 Kasrkin and 30 Scions. Kasrkin are going to be ran as Armored Company Stormtroopers in an Armoured Company Battlegroup since I have no melee weapon/pistol guys, and Scions will be ran as Scions proper.

No idea exactly how many, just over 300 I believe. Only about 50 of them are painted though... just... so.. many.. bodies.

Not including elites. I have 16 infantry squads with about 25 "support" (CCS,PCS etc. ) and 15 HW squads.

About 50. 2 tactical, 1 support, 1 assault squads, plus a bunch of command guys. A dozen stormtroopers.

Not enough for a legal army anymore. (To be honest, it never really was)

I didn't vote because I don't really call myself a guard player yet. I only have about 1000 points, which is enough for an allied detachment. But I have right about 50 guardsmen. Sadly only 16 of them are actual Vostroyan models.

well considering that I have 50 storm troopers alone....I'm going to have to ballpark it in the 350-400 range. I was one of the few people not dismayed by the new Emps Shield company because I could easily field it twice over!

Around 300 former guardsmen. Though not exactly loyal... more independent. .... so renegades really... ok their cultists. I have 300 cultists.

When the prices shot up and the codex power level shot down stopped buying.

Voted 200-300 because:
Most of the IG is a rather colorful group, haven't settled on one type of IG... more like a bunch of companies/regiments deployed close to each other.

If all the "real" models count, Guard on a base, this should be around 230:

- 76 IG / Cadia ( metal , old )
- 12 IG Stormtroopers ( metal , 2nd gen )
- 3 IG Stormtroopers ( metal , 1st gen )
- 8 IG "veterans" ( non GW )
- 4 IG HQ ( metal )

- 47 Catachans ( few metal, a lot plastic )

- 10 IG Cadia ( metal , kasrkin? )
- 62 IG Cadia ( metal / plastic, current design )

- 9 IG HQ and Advisors ( metal )

If the "unseen" ones count, the crews, maybe I got more:

- Russes , Chimerae , Hellhounds, Selfprop.Arty , Valks, etc plus Heavier and super heavies; Possibly ~ 300 crew members.

Too much of a treadhead to own enough Infantry to run "formations".

You have enough to do formations:
- 3x 10 Mech Veterans w/ PCS & Hellhound formation
- 5x 10 IG Infantry Squad Platoon + Sentinel formation
- Mech PCS to go with Artillery formation

You just need to regroup them and ignore the IG Company formation.

51-100 I'd think, about half of them being regular guardsmen and the rest being Grenadiers/Engineers/artillery crewmen.

I have about 500 Infantry. The army was built from 3rd to 5th edition, and was designed for those books. I wouldn't say they were optimized, as you don't really "optimize" 5000 points of infantry, but several elements were meant to use either rules from 5th edition (especially the Al R'aheem platoon and the penal legion) or were designed for long obsolete Apocolypse formations (catachan deathtrap!)

The basic run down:

High Command: Creed, Kell, Advisors, medic, vox-caster, chump, two bodyguards
CCS w/standard (Praetorians)
CCS w/ Standard, plasma x3 (Praetorians)
CCS w/Straken, standard, medic, flamer x2 (Catachans)

I voted 51-100 I may have over 100 but never fielded close to that. I have a mix of catachans and cadians,

Mostly used as vets once in a great while I will roll out platoons for something different.

Wow, I'm genuinely blown away by some of these collections, although I imagine they've been built up over years.

I just bought or was given enough to start a sizable army with them (barely any painted), all plastic cadians and some scions, I'm sitting at the modest amount of just under 100

40 standard
30 vets
10 from PCS and CCS
10 scions
2 HWT

I run an Armoured Battle Group list, so there's that.

I do plan on getting more because the tanks really do require infantry support.
