The Daemon Possessing Fulgrim's Body

Or any other similar bird.
It can be a toy, some sort of scale model kit or a miniature, but it needs to have a body large enough to act as the basis for a Heldrake conversion (so not look ridiculous on top of a GW flying stem) with feathers not massively out of scale (I know they could be resculpted, but I'm not sure I have the patience or skill to do that on this scale) and if not a component based kit, not be manufactured out of uncutium.
I've been trawling various sites for something for a while, and I'm thinking I'm going to have to shelve the idea I've had, I've already eliminated most of the current GW catalogue, Warzone minis, and most of the things like Schleich and Papo.
I don't generally post requests for help that are easily fulfilled!

Probably. It's the one I've looked at the hardest, but a lot of the bulk in that model is in the wings, the body is actually fairly slight in comparison.
I'd also like the claws reachin forward if possible, but at this point I'm thinking I'll have to compromise on that.
If someone had made a LOTR Great Eagle toy which was like the mini but bulkier, that would be ideal, but nothing has come up, at least not on sale.

If you have a craft store like Micheal's here in the States, I'm sure you can find a little eagle statue or something along those lines.
There are also loads of statues on E-Bay. I searched for "bald eagle statue" and had a few hundred hits.

The trouble with statues is they don't generally cut easy, they're often cast from polystone or even metal.
Equally the likes of Papo and Schleich all sound good, until you realise they're normally listed as Xcm high, but in fact the wingspan is what is actually listed, and 12cm high would be great, but 12cm wingtip to wingtip isn't all that big.
I hadn't seen that Lindberg Eagle though. It looks like it needs quite a lot of work, but it isn't expensive, I'll have to see if it is equally as inexpensive this side of the Atlantic. US stuff has a habit of rocketing in price if it isn't widely distributed. Automatically Appended Next Post: It's doesn't explicitly have to be an eagle, any other large bird would work (vulture, Raven etc..)
Don't want it to be a fortune as it'll get cut up (hence I've not ordered the giant Raven from Mierce!) Automatically Appended Next Post: Or even a decent flying dinosaur!

Way too small.
I think I've solved it, the Reaper Giant Eagle is much larger than I thought. It is apparently only currently available as a solid lump of metal, however. Should it make it into Bonesium, that'll be perfect, so I'll have to sideline the idea til then.

no idea if it's been done already, but you might want to go ahead and add your input to reaper directly in their forum. They have a whole thread about "Bones we'd like to see" models. And they do actually read it Who knows maybe it's already planned for KS 4

Ah, good info, thanks. I'd already scanned the existing KS to see if it was in the offing and hadn't supported it.
