After a recent post about armies you've never faced, I took another user's idea and posted about it. What armies have pretty much dropped off in your area, either due to players losing interest or power levels changing?

Automatically Appended Next Post:
For me, Necrons and Daemons are rare, as well as CSM, most of them have dropped out or there are only one or two people playing them. Orks are iffy, there's a couple people running them, but with no real consistency, as they disappear for months at a time.

DE, Harleys are played by no one in my area.
Tyranids, Chaos space marines and Necrons, I'm the only player I know of.
Orks, daemons and Eldar are played by one person each.

Rest of the players mostly play Tau and SM. Some guard and other SM flavors like space wolves in between.

You don't have to be happy when you lose, just don't make winning the condition of your happiness.

I game mostly at whw, so regularly see most armies. ShaneTB's sob army is one of the two that I've seen there though. Don't see too many harlequin armies either.

We have just one Eldar player, who can rarely come down on our normal gaming day.

Other than that, DE are also rare to see, we have one regular player with a 1000 point DE list. Nids and Necrons are fairly rare.

Basically, we have a whole bunch of Guard and CSM with solid variety, and of course every flavor of space marines.

"Got you, Yugi! Your Rubric Marines can't fall back because I have declared the tertiary kaptaris ka'tah stance two, after the secondary dacatarai ka'tah last turn!"

"So you think, Kaiba! I declared my Thousand Sons the cult of Duplicity, which means all my psykers have access to the Sorcerous Facade power! Furthermore I will spend 8 Cabal Points to invoke Cabbalistic Focus, causing the rubrics to appear behind your custodes! The Vengeance for the Wronged and Sorcerous Fullisade stratagems along with the Malefic Maelstrom infernal pact evoked earlier in the command phase allows me to double their firepower, letting me wound on 2s and 3s!"

"you think it is you who has gotten me, yugi, but it is I who have gotten you! I declare the ever-vigilant stratagem to attack your rubrics with my custodes' ranged weapons, which with the new codex are now DAMAGE 2!!"

"...which leads you straight into my trap, Kaiba, you see I now declare the stratagem Implacable Automata, reducing all damage from your attacks by 1 and triggering my All is Dust special rule!"

Indeed. I took a 1k officio assassinorum list to an event recently. Got a great response from people seeing something a little unusual.

Luckily we have quite a variety of armies in my area. That being said I'd say Sisters are in light supply as well as Guard and certain Xenos Armies.

Literally never seen an Imperial Knight on the field.

Sisters are also very rare since the only player sold his army.

We've got a pretty good spread of all the armies in my area, although I can only think of one person off the top of my head who plays Sisters. I also don't see a lot of Orks or Tyranids, but that isn't surprising given the very cutthroat nature of our meta.

My armies (re-counted and updated on 11/7/24, including modeled wargear options):
Dark Angels: ~16000 Astra Militarum: ~1200 | Imperial Knights: ~2300 | Leagues of Votann: ~1300 | Tyranids: ~3400 | Stormcast Eternals: ~5000 | Kruleboyz: ~3500 | Lumineth Realm-Lords: ~700

Sisters. We used to have a dedicated Sisters player years ago, but they have since moved on. Every other army is pretty much represented in one way or another, even the sub-factions like Harlies or AdMech.
