I have been thinking about the new powers and how to use them in my list.

While some are very good you need to put a sizable point investment to make it work. Then you have to roll for them and even with some of the formation you can still get unlucky and not get it.

I was looking at the swap unit power and was like that is cool. Lets get that in my list.

I started to look at my list and thought do I really need that power. There are ways to get the unit where I want them when I want them with out having to rely on random events. The only down side I see it the option of the power filling holes in my army by adjusting them to my opponent.

I could take add 2 drop pods and get the same result of overwhelming my opponents deployment zone
with hard to kill units that would assult next turn. With the rest of my army assaulting turn one or turn two as well. By dropping the Psykers down to 1 bare bones with a hood. I picked up a formation that makes the thunderwolf cav even faster. I was also able to out fit the wolfen with a extra shield. Getting a 4 wound tank lord and 5 extra bodys in the gray hunter is the tax.

Example of the list iam taking about.

So is it better to keep it list thats focued, not relying on random rolls??? Or does having the flexabilty to adapt a unit powers to face a diffrent army every round worth it??

One is a solid it works like this list. There is something to keeping it Simple. Like the above.

The other makes you think more and have to adapt if thing don't go your way. Also if it does go
your way it can make things easyier.

Is the randomness worth it??

The only thing I wonder is with the VSG and the movement power is it worth it as they may just take it

Also getting a power is not hard at all
