Greetings 30k Dakkanauts,
I've completed painting and basing my Alpha legion a bit ago (Yay!) and they seem very brightly shaded in comparison to many other AL armies I've seen now. They're more of an Aqua blue/green. I was wondering how brightly you other Alphariuses (Alphariusii?) paint your Alphas.

I saw a tutorial for painting colour shifting alpha legion using pearl ex green/purple pigment. I'm planning on doing some test models for fun once I get my hands on the stuff.

I don't play Alpha Legion but a guy at my lgs does. He said he basecoats in Leadbelcher and airbrushes with a 50/50 mix of Tamiya Blue and Tamiya Green

I have dynat, and he's painted about the same shade as the FW photos.
Not sure if that's how they actually look, it may be digital highlights. So mine might be BRIGHTER!

I went with the stock Forgeworld colour scheme (Tamiya Clear Blue/Green over a metallic base). It turns out really nicely:

I have tried doing it using GW washes/glazes and it comes out very dark - not the biggest fan tbh.
I acquired an airbrush the other day and intend to follow the Forgeworld recipe instead.
Actually my local had some of the Minitaire Ghost Tints in stock - going to try the Plasma Fluid and will report back with results if you like.

Airbrush Leadbelcher, spray lightly with Minitaire blue ghost tint from the bottom, then plasma fluid ghost tint from the top. I like it. It does look super dark in certain lighting conditions.

I think mine are brighter than most. I did a few tests with the FW scheme but couldn't get it to look nice with weathering, so went my own way.

Also just tested one with a ghost tint.
Did the Plasma Fluid over a leadbelcher - might try a dark blue wash first next time for added shading - definitely a lot brighter than my previous attempts.

I've been meaning to pick up the green ghost tint, and try that under plasma fluid - haven't gotten the chance yet. Plasma Fluid by itself is definitely brighter than doing any shading or blue underneath. Also note that the more coats you do, the deeper/darker the color gets. If I airbrushed just blue ghost tint, I could probably get a pretty good Night Lords color out of it with a few coats.
