Subject: Imperial Knights - renegade question

Hi all,
I'm just thinking of getting this pack ( not to play but to add to collection)
Does anyone know if I can convert both of these Knights to blood Angels so I can fit them in with my army or do the option pieces lack this for my plans?
Thanks in advance

Well, you may hit the slight hitch in that no SM chapter has an attached Knight force.

No, because in the lore Knights are a seperate entity to the Adeptus Astartes. Chapters wouldn't have their own Knights.

What they all said, however you could do house Hawkshroud which is known to pledge themselves to certain Marine chapters/legions and will carry the marine symbol on their armour. That is exactly what I'm doing for my Blood Angels.

Not true at all. The Dark Angels have the "Three Witnesses". They are 3 freeblade knight from both the noble and Mecanicus houses that have broken their old allegiance and they sworn their fealty to the Dark Angels. The Black Templars also have an Imperial Knight who has served with them since the Second Founding called The Lost Knight. Sir Kenrick also joined the Black Templar after leaving his noble house to permanently join them. Hawk's Duty another knight is attached to the Howling Griffons with a bunch of Imperials Knight until they hunt down and kill Huron Blackheart. He has repainted his heraldry to both match the Chapter and his house.

Yeah but they are still essentially Knight Houses pledging allegiance to certain Marine chapters; and while Dante is no Ultramarine / secretary I still can't see him letting some Knight House that turned traitor become "Blood Angels". House Hawkshroud is the really the way to go... or some other fan-made Knight House like Hawkshroud that is all red.

I may have to build the loyalist knight from the box as one of these three, as it fits perfectly with my idea of a Knight that has ties to both the Dark Angels and the Adeptus Mechanicus. Are there any pics, perhaps in the Knights codex itself?

Ok so let's say in theory without me upsetting the "by the book" wh40k die hard fanboys - if I was to purchase the renegade set is it possible to use parts in this set to go the opposite of chaos and purchase let's say a blood Angels insignia pack to modify them.....is it possible then??
I know I'm going around the fluff but as people said on here it's possible through one or two events the blood Angels aquired one of these during one of their crusades.
I guess my main question is can I dress this pack up imperial/SM or are they just designed to be chaos???
Anyone bought one of these already to know the box set options available?

There are no chaos parts in the pack, just some renegade transfers. The box contains the older knight kit and the knight warden kit (I.e. two identical imperial knights but only one of the new weapon sprue)

If someone say "hey there's no bloodangel knights" slap them before they finish and tell them "THIS IS BLOODANGELS"....and then kick them down a hole.

Haha like rayphoton said you can do whatever you like. As far as I know "by the book" no marine chapter has ever "acquired" a Knight, just that whichever given 'Knight Household' pledged itself to a certain Marine chapter... but wouldn't this satisfy your requirements anyway, you can still paint them red and add BA insignias?
For example, say a foresworn Knight House - FartShroud has fought alongside Commander Dante for ages and wins many purity seals and banners as well as campaign honors from the chapter; he then pledges his services to the Blood Angels and takes their colors and insignia... easy.

There's a certain resistance by many to the very idea of a SM knight/titan. I think what it boils down to is that SM are already big enough Mary Sues without giving them every single last super toy at the Imperium's disposal, and knights/titans are pretty much the only cool things the Imperium has left that SM don't get. Why is it so importamt that your knight be piloted by a space marine anyway? Is nothing sacred?

As I said before many times I'm just a collector and a biased one at that. Everything has to be blood angel, not shared, not borrowed not even pledges work for me. If I buy something it's for it to become BA.
So when I have some day a complete chapter of blood Angels in my display cabinet I would want a Titan or two to be present and yes in the BA kit.
Does anyone suggest a blister pack where I can use insignias or blood angel decor to add to these things?

Gotcha, then why even ask here? LOL seriously dude, it's your model just do it. On one hand you seem not to care about fluff, but on the other the fluff explanation of a 'pledged Knight' doesn't work - I don't get it.
I'm pretty die-hard Blood Angels myself, but Knights are just not space marines... it would be like making a Blood Angel Carnifex.

Gunz, he was asking if it was possible with the modeling pieces in the thing, not if fluff agreed with it.

Read the entire thread Troa.
As for bits the Storm Raven kit has some larger BA icons. These would be good for press moulds so you can place them on curved surfaces. The BA tactical squad kit has a few pieces that could work too.
I made a Blood Angels Fortress of Redemption for a friend and used the large chalice from Space Hulk to make a press mould that I used all around it: http://atticwars40k.blogspot.com/2011/10/blood-angels-fortress-of-redemption.html

I have an unopened storm raven so there will be left over things from when I actually build to pass over to the knight?
Gunz - I wasn't arguing about the fluff or disagreeing with it, I was merely suggesting that since imperium and SM are on the same side all it would take would be a spin story (like GW does anyways every now and again) to allow a knight in with SM.
My main point was about even though I love and appreciate the fluff I would want to add this as a display piece but I wanted to know my options about customizing it to BA and where would I get those so called mod parts from. If anyone has any links to stuff either GW, forgeworld or even ebay I would appreciate it

Well I mean the spin story, you could just do it, who cares? ...according to the current fluff though, as far as I know, Knights are not ever space marines; not anymore than an IG Taurox or an Admech Dunecrawler... but you can paint them red, put BA icons on them and call them whatever you want, as has been said, they are willing to 'pledge' at least.
But anyway, yeah the storm raven has a few bits but really for big stuff there isn't much. Maybe from the BA dreadnought kit? The drop pod kit has a small round icon that you can find on ebay.
Forgeworld, like troa said, has a brass etch set that could be a little helpful.
Ebay bit sellers might have ba icons, and there used to a forgeworld resin icon-pack but it wasn't really that good.
I would strongly suggest doing a press-mould with your storm raven parts. That way you can use it many times and if you cast with green stuff, you can bend it onto curved surfaces.
