MIT Press just released this fantastic edited collection, primarily focused on tabletop wargaming but with some electronic wargames also covered, looking at wargames and wargames culture from a variety of artistic, analytical, and academic perspectives.

I have a chapter in there, co-written with the always superb James Wallis, on Warhammer 40K and Games Workshop. I focused primarily on the game, and he, on the company.

The MIT Press books on gaming are usually good value, yeah. I used to just persuade my local library to get copies of them.
