Anyone want to entertain with some cool combos?

I was just wondering if it could work the other way? Can regular Csm use BL or CS artifacts?

Also, you might want to change out your handle name unless you want to receive unsolicited emails on that account.

I dont think regular csm codex can use artefacts from bl or cs.

That's too bad. I wouldn't mind my csm lord rocking daemon heart armor.

As to your handle: I would pm a mod, they will get you sorted out.

You can have your lord have daemon armor, just have him be CS, and then ally in other stuff. Or have him as ally and use a sorc or something as warlord.

There's hardly a reason NOT to take CS even if you don't want the formations. Their artefacts are very good, you get fear for free (better than nothing) and why would you want to pay the Votlw like Black legion does?
I used Deamonheart before and now I like it even more, since I can combine it with the burning brand of Skalathrax.

There aren't really any cool combos that come to mind. The good artifacts in the vanilla dex are the weapons and they're good on their own. There is no synergy to speak of. It just means that, unless you insist on VotLW for fluff reasonns or you want something from Black Legion, that crimson slaughter pretty much IS the new vanilla dex. There was little reason not to go CS before, but now? You loose absolutely nothing and gain fear on everything for free. Even the warlord traits are available.

The juggerlord got a little better maybe if you give him daemonheart, but I'm not sure its worth the 30 points over the default juggerlord. He's been using his invuln more than anything in my games and iwnd works once in a blue moon.
The black legion eternal warrior seems like a better pick, but I wouldn't consider it mandatory by any means. To me he's good enough as is given how cheap he is. I dunno about adding more points to him.

CS/BL daemon princes became better since the supplement weapons kinda suck for them. So yea, pretty uneventful in terms of combos as far as I'm concerned.

I need to know how it's possible to switch artifacts between codices?

The recently released Crimson SLaughter and Black Legion softback supplement updates have a line in them stating that they may take their own artifacts or the ones listed in the parent book. Same deal for the farsight enclaves softback that got released recently.

About the only use would have been a khorne lord on jugger with daemonheart and AoBF, but since the FAQ clearly stated you can't have more than 1 relic/artefact per model, that's out.

You can however have a Balestar sorceror and a juggerlord with the axe instead of a fist in a single CAD now whereas before it would have required 2 CADs. That's about the only thing worth mentioning I think.

Where in the faq can you see that drasius?

I can only see one page of text for basic rulebook and for chaos space marines.

It does not say anything about that you can only have one per model.

Thanks Drasius, I have a follow up question.

Apart from the new formations for CS and BL, there were some rumors going on about new Warlord traits and artefacts.

Has anything changed in that regard?

If it is only one arterfact/model it really neuters these combos. I.e the eternal warrior on the juggerlord with the axe of slappiness.
