Anacharis Scoria

10x thralls w/ pure thought
10x thralls w/ pure thought

3x Castellax w/ combat blades
2x Castellax w/ 2x Darkfire Cannons and Targetting Array

4x Thallax w/ melta bombs

2x Domitars w/ flak missiles and frag grenades

Krios Venator

Thanatar w/ paragon of metal

Knight Atrapos w/ occular augmetics

Depending on the situation I might switch out Scoria for an Archmagos Dominus with cyber familiar, machinator array, augury scanner, cortica primus, and abeyant. I like the ability to throw around Cybertheurgy to the entire unit, while Scoria can throw down with the primarchs.

Going the Archmagos route also allows me to add 2 more Thallax and give them Ferrox

As for the Thralls and Thallax, Castellax can't score.

Sounds good!
It's got a lot of distraction carnifexes, that will be a tough call on the target selection front as an opponent.

I would try to squeeze a special weapon into the Thallax unit. to increase their threat (I'm a fan of plasma fusils, lots of shots). If you can find the points, increase the size of the tech thrall units, too. You don''t have a lot of scoring units, and tech thralls are pretty easy to kill, but at least blobs of them are cheap.

I agree with the above.

I run a taghmata list and thallax are my bread and butter.
Plasma or photon are the way to go if you can free up some points.

I'd be half tempted to drop a domitar and grab another unit of thallax, then with remaining points, grab both units a plasma or photon each.

Extra scoring units are always good and they are far more mobile than a domitar.

I've always found that photon and dark fire weapons on smaller constructs far out do that of larger ones.

Domitars for me really aren't that great, I get more mileage from thallax or castellax instead.

I like Thallax with chainblades and ferrox. The list with the vanilla archmagos dominus has 6 Thallax with ferrox and melta bombs. There is twenty points left over, I could find a way to split them up into 2 three man squads with a special weapon in each. Problem is that I am light on special weapons for Thallax.

Also only have the twenty thralls, figured 2 fearless squads can take a pounding and still score if I need them to. Just have to keep them in cover.

If they are firing at the thralls the boys are getting closer to assault.

Was running heavy Thallax, but with Cybertheurgy the Castellax got so much better.

Also as sad as this sounds, the domitars are what passes for anti air in my lists.

Somewhere in the dark...

You could always give your thallax the sky fire upgrade although I realise that you'd then only have 2 scoring units.

What's the scoria though and where can I find it's rules?
