I’ve been tinkering with 1850 battle companies and after many different combinations I’ve gone with essentially a full spam list – no fancy squads – no real point investment in anything. I like this idea the best because the enemy has no priority targets and has to waste high value shooting on cheapo MSU units.

Demi 1
3x Tactical – Plasma, Combi Plasma, Razor LC/TLPG
Assault Squad – Razor LC/TLPG
Dev Squad – Razor LC/TLPG
Command Squad (bolters) – Apoth, Razor TLHB
Captain - PF/Combi Grav (Rides with command squad)

Demi 2
3x Tactical – Melta Gun, Razor TLAC
Assault Squad – Razor TLAC
Dev Squad – Razor TLAC
Chaplain (rides with an assault squad)

10th Comp Task Force
5x 5man Scout – Combi Grav, LSS

This is a whopping 36 units with 98 models. The only thing that erks me is I don’t have matching combis on the melta tacs. Any ideas to get those in there would be appreciated. . Also - Think I'm going with Ironhands tactics here - any other suggestions here not involving Khan?

I like it a lot. I run a battle company at 1850 with approx. 95 marines. However, I only use 5 razorbacks and I have 3 10-man TAC squads in Drop Pods. I use a 10-man assault squad with jump packs (and a 5-man squad with jump packs). Clearly I employ mine differently. The main point of my response is I like your list and your plan theory on how it should work. I'm sure it will be fun and effective.

If you are looking to shake a few points free, consider dropping the command squad. Or a scout squad or two. I might also consider dropping the combis off the scout sarges.

What do the LSSs have for guns? Might be a spot to put some fast melta in your list.

Putting duel flamers on the assault marines might help.
No guns for the Devs? Seems a waste of the sarge’s Signum.

With all the bolters you have, Imp. Fists might not be a bad choice for CT.
