I have fielded a Soviet battalion with 8x 76 ZiIS-3 field guns and 4x 122mm obr (1938) guns.

I want to split up my battalion, and move my ZIS-3 guns (with my command team) forwards, but I also want to leave the 122mm behind, so they can bombard from a safe distance.

Can I fire with my 122mm guns, while they are not in command? (they did not move)

I can't find anything in the rules about being in command range while firing bombardments. What function will the staff team have then? and can the observer still spot for the bombardment, even though they are out of command range?
