Hello
As I am constructing some Rapier guns for my csm, question arises:
Can I Deploy artillery on the battlement of a fortification, say on the roof of Imperial Bastion or firestorm redoubt?
As artillery can't embark, they couldn't get there during the game, but they could be imagined to be air-lifted there before game or something...
IS there something in the rules one way or another?

7th edition 40k is a lot like BDSM these days. Only play with people you know and develop a safe word for when things get too intense. And It doesn't hurt to be a sadist or masochist as well.

Can it fit? That's probably the biggest hurdle.

I've done it before. The way I see it is it counts as a piece of terrain and you can deploy on normal terrain in your deployment zone so nothing I've ever found prevents it

There is noting in the rules that prevent these sorts of things to happen.

Sgt. Vanden - OOC Hey, that was your doing. I didn't choose to fly in the "Dongerprise'.

I have no clue how Dakka's moderation work. I expect it involves throwing a lot of d100 and looking at many random tables.

FudgeDumper - It could be that you are just so uncomfortable with the idea of your chapters primarch having his way with a docile tyranid spore cyst, that you must deny they have any feelings at all.

Pretty sure placing artillery on top of a building is what we call preparing for war in 40k!
