Dear all,

I'm making a mounted chaos lord in power armour for my Khorne army, but am having trouble finding bits/models that could represent the lord. The mount is sorted and is much bigger than a juggernaut. I won't say what it is so as not to spoil the surprise on my blog...
The lord can't really sit on the mount due to its size, but that's fine because I'd like him to be standing, possibly hurling a spear or firing a gun. I like the pose of the Herald of Khorne, but have yet to find anything power armour like that could represent that pose.
It's mostly the legs that are problematic, because most power armour legs are either running or standing, and neither seem appropriate. I need some legs that are in a 'straddling' pose.

...unless I could model him jumping off the mount? Hmm... any ideas how I could do that?

Models could be from any model line - not restricted to GW.

Look to Warriors Of Chaos, there's multiple kits there that'll blend very well with Chaotic power armour, I'm using Chaos Knights as a basis for my biker conversions for instance.

Depends on how much conversion your willing to do. I could make some suggestions, as I built a custom lord but he was from several kits.

You could perhaps have him kneeling on the mount-devastating squad legs would work.

Fire away! I am pretty good at converting (scratch that... I live for converting!) and have a decent bitz box.

Hmm... that's an interesting idea. I wonder if I have any kneeling legs to test that out!

Bike rider legs? Or Bezerker legs?

I'd recommend berserker legs.
Alot of them have a decent pose and some are separate from the knee section, so allows for easier posing.

I have built a couple of Lords on Juggys now. ( i want to run a all lords unbound list at some point. Cus yolo lol) You can either use the Juggy and legs from these kits, https://www.games-workshop.com/en-US/Khorne-Bloodbound-Mighty-Skullcrushers which i have done, it goes together easy, but is less dynamic.

With a little bending of his cape, and depending on the pose, i find his top half makes a great lord. ( i like my heros to be slightly larger.) I almost always run him with an axe anyway, but if you are careful and get a good clean cut on his arm that is holding the hound, you can replace it at the elbow ( magnetize there! Trust! ) That way you can replace it with a powerfist, Combi, ext. I kept the original hand, and Magnetized the metal gauntlet thing he has, so i could just use that arm for a bolter, plas, whatever. (i go a little crazy with magnets on heros cus I like options.) A fairly simple kitbash overall.

The Slaughterpriest with Hackblade has a good pair of legs, so I'm tempted by that. I actually have Korghos Khul, but don't like his head and haven't worked out what to do about it yet!
I might go with the slaughterpriest because he has a nice muscly torso that would fit well with my bare-chested and feral-looking berserkers.

I think the best might be to do so leg cutting and modeling to get it into a relative position. then for the most part cover up the areas well with a cloak or chain, or chain cloak.

Have you assembled Korghos Khul? If I remember right before you assemble him his head is either easy to cut or not attached. I also liked the exposed torso parts, but wanted my lord to look more armored, i saved that "half armored" look for my berzerkers. But glad i could help.
