Well I bought Blood Rage and was super excited to get started, however things went awry and I ended up damaging the board and box having to throw the box away and the board was kind of jankety. So I decided to build a custom board so that the game can still be enjoyed and took pictures of its development. I also appreciate any thoughts on how to make it better etc.

So without further ado I started by printing out a blk/wht version of the board (5 pages with different parts of the map) I taped it to a blue foam board and then used a foam cutter to cut each territory out.

(Also image quality is from a phone so not great, I will take better pics of the final product when its totally done)

Then I made little popsicle stick labels for the territories (though I did not write the names terribly well so I may paint over the labels and redo them)

Then I glued sand to them to make them more like wargaming terrain.

next I painted them a base coat of black

Dry brushing layers of grey and then applying grass flock and snow flock.

Also figured Yggdrasil could have an actual tree

Then I glued the territories to a 22x22 inch board and built a small square outline for a future score tracker. Also I painted the base board like an ocean and applied clear silicone to make it appear as such.

Here it is with some models

So my next steps are to finish the leaves on the tree and add them (thinking purple) finish some touch up work on the territories with flock etc. Make the name plates 100 times better!, build the score tracker. Then finally perhaps build a wood box around it like a briefcase so that it has a box.

(Oh and of course paint all of the minis)
