So I finally got around to building my Imperial Knight, and I'd hoped to make the Reaper Chainsword and Avenger Gatling Cannon interchangeable, but magnetising the point where the upper and lower arms join turned out pretty disastrously. I managed to repair it enough to build the chainsword (and maintain motion at the join) but I think it'd be a lot easier if I could just get another upper arm/shoulder to do the weapon swap.
It's pretty disappointing that the warden sprue doesn't include a third one of these, as the way that they lock into place makes them perfect for weapon swaps.
Anyway, I'm basically wondering if there's anywhere that sells these in the UK? Bits and Kits has them listed as arm connectors, but only seems to sell them in pairs which seems like a mistake (as I would think most people, like me, only need one), but they're currently sold out with no indication of when they might be back in stock (or even if I could get in quick enough to get them).
Are there any other good options for attaching an arm?

I've looked for the same thing and came up lemon.
Many eBay bit stores sell the Chainsword arm (or Battlecannon arm) with that shoulder-mount piece, at least in the US - and since everyone already has enough Chainsword it is generally the cheapest option.
Also, hopefully you didn't glue down the shoulder-pads... cuz they will obstruct just enough to prevent you changing arms via the shoulder piece.

I've seen a couple in the UK but only the blades themselves unfortunately, I'll keep an eye out!

I haven't since I'm not ready to paint yet, but thanks for the heads-up! I failed magnetising the arm but the magnets I had ought to be strong enough to at least help the shoulder pads stay in place, so I'll do that instead so I can keep those separate.

Sign up for Bitz and Kits newsletter. They send out bulletins of what kits are restocked each week or so. Best time to order is within an hour of that email, lol.
Sucks for us here in North America but I've ordered tonnes from them.

Now is probably a good time for knight bits, given renegade has put a lot more in the hands of people.
Generally, I magnetize at the arm rather than the shoulder - cut the plug off, greenstuff them flush, magnetize.

Yeah as kb-lock said, the best place to magnetise is at the bicep location and not at the shoulder.

This is what I was trying to do, but it didn't turn out so well, plus my magnets don't seem to be strong enough anyway. I intend to get some more powerful ones, but after repairing the arm so I could build it normally I'm not confident it'll survive an attempt to re-magnetise it, so I'm thinking I need at least one new upper arm either way because of my capacity to inflict damage on my models
