With the release of Angels of Death, the contemptor Dread may replace its multi melta with a Kheres pattern assault cannon. It doesn't mention replacing its Powerfist with anything, does this mean I can only run one Kheres assault cannon?

I've read somewhere, though I cannot recall where. Someone was able to field a dread with 2x K.Assault cannons so I was wondering if theres another set of rules out there that allow me to do so.

yup, only 1 per 40k rules.

Opinions are not facts please don't confuse the two

Forge World has different rules for the Contemptor dreadnaught. I wager that is what you are thinking of.

the AoD contemptor is a pale imitation of the forgeworld real contemptor.
The most current rules for that are in the IA2 2nd edition. the one with two kheres is specifically the contemptor.

5000pts 6000pts 3000pts

You can field two KACs in 30k, but I'm uncertain about 40k. It would most likely be in a Forge World book if you can.

The names are different too, so they're different datasheets and both should still be valid. GW in Angels of Death: Contemptor Dreadnought. FW in IA-2: Contemptor Pattern Dreadnought. There's a 5pt base difference between them and some basic stat differences. The GW version is actually a bit better to be honest, but doesn't have the options the FW one does.
