Hi Dakkanauts,

I'm planning to upgrade my Tau force some more, I have NO MC's at the moment, which I know are some of the strongest things that the Tau have, but, I really like the look of Broadside's. Basically, I have a few Hammerheads, a lot of Fire Warriors/Pathfinders and heaps of Crisis Suits, as well as a couple of devilfishes, three stealth suits, an ethereal, a Cadre Fireblade and a Crisis Commander. But I was wondering, which of the two options I have presented would bolster my force the most? The Stormsurge is an awesome artillery platform, while the Broadside's provide great anti-infantry and anti-light-vehicle fire. Any advice given will be much appreciated, feel free to offer alternative suggestions too, my budget to upgrade my Tau is £110 (UK).

Many Thanks

DarkShade1999

Get a Riptide. They're really nice units.

Where are you getting your minis from? Are you getting them at a discount or full whack? Maybe even eBay?

We could make your money go further if you getting them cheaper.

Broadsides. Not only it'll be easier to find games (some people don't want to fight LoWs), you already have a many S5.

Broadsides and Riptides are fantastic. Stormsurge too. Since they are all so equally worthy of being in my armies it comes down to my favorite model.

So Riptide. It's the better looking model in my personal opinion. The stormsurge looks cool as hell too but not quite that wow factor of a Riptide.

Afterwards I would like the Stormsurge. I would prefer Broadsides except the HYMP looks stupid and I field it most often and the Heavy Rail rifle sucks the big one despite looking cool as hell.
