So I've got a fair few fancy WHFB Night Goblins that need to have their KoW-equivalent worked out.

Naturally, the KoW goblin list - as much as I enjoy the game - is as bland as unbuttered white toast. Especially when compared to the WHFB version.

Mawbeasts are clearly Mantic-Squigs, as we all know, so I assume that mixing in the squig hoppers amongst squigs and squig herders in a mawbeast pack is the best place for them.

Clubbers and Netters, though. I'm not sure what to do with those. I could theoretically mix them in with even more squigs as additional herders and trappers on a merry chase across the battlefield.

I've also got a regiment-sized block of ball and chain fanatics, which clearly needs to be something dangerous. And unpredictable. And dangerous. Happy to use them with the rules from a unit in a different army. Even a "good" army if it comes to it (friendly games, not tournaments - obviously.) Any ideas?

If you're after something dangerous and unpredictable I believe the Red Goblin blaster from the Ogres list would fit the bill.

It can detonated in the shooting phase or during a charge, showering everything nearby with destruction. It would fit rather well I think, as having a gaggle of fanatics ready to be unleashed.

Netters and clubbers could be mixed into whatever goblin unit you like just for some variation. But you could also have lots of them in a unit of rabble to represent the Phalanx magic item.

You could perhaps run a unit of goblins with spears and netters counting as a allied human pike regiment, thus giving the unit phalanx and ensnare?

If you want to stay inside the goblin list then put a load of fanatics on a 50x100 chariot base and use them as a mincer. Not quite as explody fun as a red goblin blaster but doesn't need a unit of ogres to unlock it as an allied choice. A random number of brutal, thunderous charge (3) attacks seems to fit with unpredictable and dangerous quite well and the big shield rule would just reflect the difficulty of trying to effectively attack a whirling leaping mass of insane goblins who are running straight at you.

I've only got about 5 netters, and 2(?) clubbers - so a fairly small number of them at present. Unless there's more in a box that I haven't found, of course... Actually, there might be some clubbers broken off their bases/tabs. I should go check. I'm planning to use a couple of "human" unit profiles in one or both of my goblin armies (one GW models, the other is LotR Moria models), but only as the absolute elites.

I really like the idea of using the fanatics as a Mincer, though the only problem there is that I've got a couple of the official models (unbuilt) and a couple of Snotling Pump Wagons as well that need to be fixed up for KoW. So I've probably got 4-5 of them waiting in the wings.

Red Goblin Blaster could work. I might have to give that a go...

Here's the unit, based as a regiment for now. I just ended up with a ton of them (had some of my own, got more when I bought a friend's goblins years ago) and finally painted them up for fun. Now I just want to figure out a reasonable way onto the table for them....
