I just saw a few YouTube videos of KoW games and am really intrigued by this game. A few folks posted here that the mechanics are reminiscent of DBA/DBM. I actually see many parallels between KoW and Armati. Armati by Arty Conliffe introduced unit effects on combat instead of the fiddly individual figure removal in Warhammer - Fantasy and Ancient Battles. So I am looking to getting into this rule set in a big way.

Which brings me to the miniatures. I have collected a sizable collection of Rackham metal figures over the years. But after discovering that Confrontation: Age of Ragnarok was totally unplayable, I shelved the figures and have never played with them since. I was tempted to use them in an AoS Battlescroll but I could not find a suitable unit type for many of the figures ( Dirz, Griffin Fusilier, Kelts). So I am thinking that KoW abstracts unit characteristics sufficiently to make many of these figures "look and feel" right. I am interested in knowing whether other KoW players are using Rackham figures and in what armies/units they are being deployed.

Sounds like a good plan.

I have some rackham skeletons mixed into my undead units.

Since many KoW unit entries have no official models yet (and you're allowed and encouraged to use models from any manufacturers even when there is) there's lots of opportunities to get usage out of rackham models that don't directly correspond with a specific entry.

Pretty much. You'll just need to get or make some movement trays of the appropriate size.
