Anyone have any tactics for actually using a Gorkanaut or Morkanaut as a transport?

I am not seeing too much utility at all for using this really. It is not an assault vehicle, so putting meganobz in them seems meh.

Maybe 6 tankbustas?

Another option is to hide a Big Mek with a MFF and some Lootas/Burnas with Meks. This seems too much for something that can get 1 shot.

Anything else?

I usually do KFF big mek with fixer uppers, 3 burnas, 2 meks.

Its quite annoying to kill. I've found it to be effective but I guess I've just gotten lucky with rolls. Haven't really had it or my battlewagons explode in 1 shot on me yet.

For my nobz and whatnot I prefer battlewagons every time.

Its expensive but the Naut works as a good magnet for bullets while your wagons/trukks move up.

My tactics for them have been pretty solid so far. First I consider taking them. Then I reconsider that, and take an equal amount of useful things in points. I haven't had one blow up turn one to the very first lascannon shot since!

warhammer 40k mmo. If I can drive an ork trukk into the back of a space marine dread and explode in a fireball of epic, I can die happy!

Need to fill it with Meks and give it a KFF, or MFF if applicable.

Burna Boyz do well, or Lootas if Elites are full, reverse if Heavy is full. Big Mek is also a good addition.

Pricey, but you're already investing a lot into it, might as well make it as sturdy as possible.

They at their peak efficiency when left at home keeping papers from being blown away by your fan. What's cool about them when using them in this format is you can put some heavy stuff in its belly to hold down heavier material from being blown away by the wind.
With a little minor converting I've considered making a piggy bank out of one. Or maybe a bird house.
A particularly good little engineer might turn one into a bot that rolls dice for you. Just gotta keep feeding it 'ammo' once in a while. Let's you worry about only rolling half of the 120 dice rolled from 30 choppa boyz on the charge.
It's a bit optimistic but those are some of the better ideas to field those nauts that I can come with atm. If I think of more viable dorkanaut tactics I'll be back to post. Actual measurements would help.

I've tried a gorkanaught with 3 combi-skorcha meganobz getting outflanked by mogrok bossboyz. They came out turn 3, killed 2 or 3 marines than the enemy ignored them for the rest of the game.

I hadn't considered the birdhouse tactic. I do think it would make for an awesome dice tower. I have toyed around wit it being on the sidelines cheering. Maybe his belly compartment could house candy I could give out mid game. Can't think of too many other tactics for it except maybe keeping my war boss inside so he does not gather as much dust.

First shot immobilized, it's happened to me. I recommend hiding him behind a Stompa to keep it from happening.

You can use it to take meganobz to an objective

I am the kinda ork that takes his own washing machine apart, puts new bearings in it, then puts it back together, and it still works.

The absolute saddest thing about this thread is that the joke replies are not jokes at all, but absolute truth.
