So i know the question sounds a bit dim, but the kharibdis assault claw entry has thrown me a bit and i thought i should check with Dakka before bothering FW about it.

The assault claw states it can carry a rapier unit, but i can't work out if that's the only thing which can transport them. Sooo - little help? please?

Anything with enough transport capacity should be able to carry them. The count as very or extremely bulky If I remember but space wise you can get them in a land raider, or storm eagle quite easily.

Some of the transports will also specify what they can or cannot carry. Rhinos, for example, explicitly state no bulky or bigger. Drop Pods state they can carry a single Rapier with crew.

Isn't the Rapier Unit Type Artillery? Transports can't carry it unless they specifically say so, if so.

Correct. Only pure infantry can enter a transport unless it has a specific exemption (normally for a dreadnought)
