Subject: Your miniatures and real world references
Hello, I would like to show you some of mine miniatures and I would ask you to put there some of your own miniatures resembling something or somebody from real-life or pop-culture.
Well, maybe except TR8-TOR because it seems that every second Marine player has one.
There are mine. Some of them are rather obvious, others may not be so easy. I'll leave you a hint. I also have 3 more, ready to be painted.
Lets see who recognise them.
Models are 40kyfied, of course but thats understandable.
1
Spoiler:
Older blonde man from very popular 7-book series. 2 his body parts are bionic.
2
Spoiler:
Do you really need a hint?
3
Spoiler:
Same as above.

A tank design from an old PS3 Multiplayer only war game. Hint, its main feature was its name (the game not the tank in question)
A lot of the concepts behind some of my tanks have an origin in some video game weapon idea or some crazy thing like it. Even if the end product is not identical its there in spirit at least.

Hint: the first one comes from 7 book 8 movie series. He was a good character and he died during second half of the series. He was also a teacher.
As for your 3rd pic, a PlanetSide Vanguard tank came to my mind, but that's not PS3 only game.
Since I never played anything on a consone, I'm worried that I'm clueless. Hope somebody else gets it.

Unfortunately I don't have pictures, but a friend has a trio of baneblades with unique crew. One has a couple of fellas with a bbq grill, tank girl commands the second, and Don Quixote, along with Sancho and Aldonza, ride around in the third.

Tiny Tank? ...ok, that was a PS1 single-player only game...

I can't think of many 8-movie series, much less ones based on books, except for Harry Potter I guess. I don't really know Harry Potter very well, so... Dumbledore?

First one is Tom Hardy, second one is Nicholas Cage?

I do hope one day to build Tiny tank and the Vanguard tank from Planetside 2 though. Just haven't done it yet.

I could recognise only Rork2-Dork2 and Mr. Yorkda And Santa SMAWs of course.
The first two and a Wookie and Han Solo? I guess. I'm not that good in SW universe.
P.S. My first miniature is a younger version of Alastor Moody. Bionic eye and leg, blonde hair and ever-angry expression. (My fav. character. The only one.)

Starting with the oldest from before my dakka days.
A hemophobic Khorne berzerker, a germophobic plague marine and a sexy Skaven walk in to a Games workshop..... -------------------------------------------
We mark the lands with blood, in fire we prevail. We are tremendous. We are the end of days. -------------------------------------------
It ain't appropriate for anybody, baby. That's the siren call!

Only played two games of 40k in my life. I am more the building and converting type.
Even if I did play any of them I have no idea on how to stat the Prism tank without my opponent screaming about it being OP as all hell for his lighter infantry, given its in game capabilities.

I can get most of them I think, Fav is the Dead Space Isaac, very good attention to detail.
You can also tell I've been playing way too much Overwatch recently, as Zero (?) from Borderlands 2 was instantly just "Oh, that Genji looks sick". It does that to you.
If you can't believe in yourself, believe in me! Believe in the Dakka who believes in you!
