which is the better setup, 2 goreaxes or axe and gorefist?
does the possible mortal wound with the gorefist outweigh the reroll from the dual axes?

2 goreaxes = reroll a roll of 1 to hit
gorefist = 1 mortal wound on a roll of a 6 after a successful save

I use both honestly. One unit of each.

They are pretty balanced options overall, but to give some specific advice: If you are going to utilize cover, wizards, or other sources of save bonuses and/or they predominantly face foes without rend then gorefist will be your best bet. If you are running a decent amount of +attack stuff (Bloodsecrator, command abilities, etc) then the double-axes will be a better choice.

Road to Renown! It's like classic Path to Glory, but repaired, remastered, expanded! https://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/778170.page

I chose an avatar I feel best represents the quality of my post history.

I try to view Warhammer as more of a toolbox with examples than fully complete games.
